HVAC Leak repair, and condenser fan motor replacement. 3 weeks after diagnosis.diagnosis is here https://youtu.be/QKQ-q874E-4
Some of you may remember this one
from three to four weeks ago.
Right
there.
Fix
this
leak.
We're
gonna
close
the
dryer
and
we
gotta
replace
the
condenser
fan
motor.
Shaving
is in
the
upside
down
joint
so I'm
gonna
pull
it
out
and
do
that
right
here
on
the
ground.
Good
to
me.
I just got
that joint
and that joint both
facing upright
so they're gonna
be easy to do.
I think we're good.
We can pull a vacuum and start working on that motor.
There's a hole here for the set screw.
You gotta make absolutely sure that one of these
little bolts here does
not hit that hole.
So you line these up like this.
Start tightening
these
up a
little
bit
at a
time.
Hammer
these
down
because
they'll
slip
pretty
easy.
You
see
here
I came pretty close to that hole even though I tried not to line it up.
See how it boogers it and leaves a mark?
If it does it in this ring right here
you'll never get
your set screw back in.
Actually there is a way
to get it back in but
that's
one of my
tricks
quarter
horse
825 see
these
plugs
right
here
right
here
and here
they
have to be in the top of the motor the motor is going
to be facing this way drain holes and what's
going
to
be
the
bottom
Those
have
to
be
in
the
top
let's
check
on
our
vacuum
2000
microns
expecting
it to go a little faster than
that but i'm waiting if you look
at this it says connection shown for
Counterclockwise lead-end rotation.
Alright, this is the shaft end.
and we need it to go clockwise so leading
counterclockwise is correct all i got to do
okay guys some bad weather moved in just a second ago and i had to
do a hurry up but i was able to pull it down
to 500 microns pressure test and get it charged
and ended up taking about 10 pounds of r422
this is an r22 system so um let's see these
Those numbers look pretty good
in my keep steadily climbing the more it runs.
So this is one that we actually came out
to three or four weeks ago.
I'll see if I can link to that video when we
