James Kaufman, World News Report Today.
Ladies and gentlemen, we're looking at meteor
and meteorite reports around the globe since 2006.
Do you notice a pattern?
Remember, 2025 is not over yet.
Well, of course we see a pattern.
Now, the question is, what does this pattern mean?
First off, we need to understand that the reports that are in green,
You can see them increasing tenfold or multiple people,
i.e. more than 25 people reporting the fireball.
Reports in orange are more than 25
to 50 people reporting the fireball.
Events in blue, we have 50 to 100 people reporting the fireball,
and the biggest events are also growing.
And those are with more than 100 reports in pink on the bottom.
Now, this is an obvious increase year after year.
And that's obviously stating the obvious.
With three total reports in 2006, up to,
well, a peak of 501 reports in 2022.
And if we really draw the line here,
we can come in with a good average.
Because everything's not going to be perfect.
And this is nothing but increasing year after year.
Get my handy little pen out.
And let's see if we can draw an average here.
A moving average.
And we can see that that's pretty much it right there, folks.
Unbelievable.
Why are we seeing more and more meteors and meteorites?
Every year, and this is increasing year after year,
what's the difference between a meteor and meteorite?
A meteor actually burns up in the atmosphere.
A meteorite makes it all the way to the ground,
and that is the only difference.
I just wanted to show you all what we're dealing with.
We're going into, well,
unknown territory here as this increases year after year.
I will guess that...
The 4.62 being reported here in 2025
is going to end up very close to the 500.
This line could be drawn even a little bit higher,
but I'm trying to take into account 2023 and 2024.
I'm wondering, are those years that people weren't looking up?
I would have expected, actually, the decrease in...
2021 and 2022, during the COVID epidemic,
while everyone was locked up inside, that's
not what we're seeing.
So if anyone can give me their thoughts on this,
it's an obvious increase, and it is
increasing on a very quick rate.
This is going to continue upwards
from everything that we see here.
Now let me know, are people just reporting it more?
Are people seeing more fireballs?
Are we going into a different part of the galaxy?
Are we going into a different part of the universe?
What could possibly be going on here?
We went from three reports in 2006 up to 501,
and we'll see what happens this year.
There will be around 500 reports again as well.
This data is from the American Meteor Society
and it is fairly up to date,
although three more months need to be reported in 2025 here.
So I'm guessing it's going to shoot
right past the 500 and it's going to continue up.
Please let me know what you think's going on here.
Are people becoming more educated?
Are people reporting these events more?
Or are we headed into a part of the galaxy,
i.e. universe, that's filled with debris?
God bless.
Please share, subscribe, and always remember that anything's possible.
Bizarro world.
