6.2 Magnitude Earthquake Strikes Vanuatu October 29th 2026!

James Copeland, World News Report today. Ladies and gentlemen, as we've seen so many times in the past, as those geomagnetic bonds break, the plates just, well, spark. We had a 6.4 earlier today. We've just had a 6.2 magnitude earthquake just east of Port Olry, Vanuatu, Zealandia rising. If anyone knows what that means, the 6.4 happened. On that plate, going right into where the largest earthquake ever recorded on the globe actually occurred in, was it 67? 68. Right, here it is again. That's the 6.4, and we just had the 6.2. Let's get a reading here. Well, that's a long one. We can see there's several volcanoes erupting just below that. A swarm just to the south. A 6.2. And we have the USGS coming in at 6.2, 143 kilometers of depth. We have Raspberry Shake at 6.0, and the Germans at 6.3, 151 kilometers of depth. So it's all over the board here. A strong, or very strong, earthquake, and very deep. And if you'll notice, just to the south of that, we'll zoom in. These are just 4.0s and larger. Notice around the mud caldera there. If I'll turn them all on, it gets upright scary. Look at where I think we have, well, four volcanoes awakening, where I think that the tsunami that's going to take out Israel is going to come from, in the Aegean Sea here, and from around, well, one of the volcanoes in Italy. And you can see Central America is a mess. The Chilean-Peruvian wedge is a mess. We had a 6.4 going right into the largest earthquake joint that's ever occurred. I believe it was a 9.6. We're going to have to look that up, though. Don't want to misquote you. Now, all of a sudden, again, we've got this. Let's get some detailed information on this. A very strong magnitude 6.2 earthquake about three hours ago. All right, it's a 6.3 here. It'll probably be a 6.2 when they downgraded it. A very few people reported it. This is the latest or the earliest map I could find. You can see Ventotene is right under this huge, huge earthquake and well this is right on Zealandia rising period. All right earthquake detail is a 6.2 magnitude earthquake. Only nine reports and this is USGS. It was said to be 143 kilometers of depth, which is very deep. Magma moving. 87 seismic stations caught this. The shake map intensity is only a 4. Only 9 reports are feeling this. 1.9 atomic bombs of energy were released. All right, this is the latest and greatest shake map from VolcanoDiscovery.com, a 6.2. And you can see that there's now nine shake reports. You can see it hit New Caledonia and Ventotene very hard on part of Zealandia Rising. All right, comparing quake data, USGS 6.2, 143 kilometers of depth. Raspberry Shake at 6.0, 151 kilometers of depth. Germany 6.3, 151 kilometers of depth. Indonesia, a 5.8, 154 kilometers of depth, so we have a good feeling for the depth. The Italians, a 6'1", 121 kilometers of depth. The Europeans, a 6'2", they pretty much follow the U.S., 150 kilometers of depth. And Australia, they're always right on the mark, a 6'3", 132 kilometers in depth. So it's probably closer to a 6.3, which would be 10 times stronger than a 6.2. That's how the earthquake map works. All right, ladies and gentlemen, in summary, we've had two New Madrid quakes. We've had stuff happen in the northeast of the U.S. We had a 6.4 just southeast of Easter Island on a fault or plate boundary. Now we've had a 6-2 right on Vanuatu where Zealandia is rising and y'all can see the continent of Zealandia coming out of the water. That was a new quake up here in Alaska that just hit. Spur Mount is awakening and believe it or not the USGS said the New Madrid Fault, the New Madrid Fault has more pressure on it than they've ever measured. And they're expecting a large earthquake very soon on the New Madrid. That's per the USGS. Very scary, if you want the truth. So that 6-2 is the story of this. God bless you guys.
