The vote count in Israel has ended and the results are in.
The Netanyahu bloc has 53 seats.
Zionist anti-Netanyahu parties led by Gadi Eizenkot got 48.
And parties led by Palestinian Israelis
that also oppose Netanyahu will have a historic 19-seat bloc.
The results came in after a day
of political turmoil brought on by Benjamin Netanyahu
and his Likud party,
who accused Palestinian-Israelis of stealing the elections
through widespread fraud, bribery and foreign interference.
Accusations rejected by the Central Elections Committee
and the Internal Security Services.
Palestinian-Israeli leaders also fired back.
Netanyahu is very much afraid because of the results.
Of the election and the high turnout of the Arab community
and the Arab voters, we acted in a very democratic way in order
to change the reality and to bring down the Netanyahu government.
Gadi Aizenkot warned that Netanyahu is trying
to manipulate the election results.
Likud and Netanyahu have launched a coordinated campaign
to delegitimize the election results.
I will not allow even the slightest deviation
from the planned swearing-in of the Neset.
Aizenkot had promised not to form a government with the support
or participation of Palestinian Israeli parties.
The election's results may force his hand.
Jewish voters are divided on the subject.
Thank you very much.
Bringing Arabs into the government somewhat undermines
its ability to govern.
But right now, I think it's best to have Netanyahu in power.
The election results will be certified in less than a week,
and the new Knesset is expected to be sworn in on the 10th of November.
Once that happens, the anti-Netanyahu bloc is hoping
that Netanyahu's grip on power will be over.
