Halle Berry scored a major legal victory
in her bitter custody battle with ex-husband
Olivier Martinez, following his allegations
that she abused their 13-year-old son, Maceo.
We've got more on the judge's decision
and what it means for their custody arrangement
in today's Page Six Headlines.
On October 29th, a Los Angeles judge ruled
that Martinez will retain primary physical
custody of Maceo, while he
and Berry will continue to share legal custody.
However, the judge also dismissed Martinez's request
for a domestic violence restraining
order against Berry and their son,
lifting the temporary restrictions previously placed on the
actress Martinez had accused Berry of physically abusing Maceo,
including allegedly choking him
during a September altercation,
while Berry has consistently denied the claims. The ruling
followed a nine-day hearing that included testimony
from both parents, their son,
his therapist, and a school official,
as well as Berry's daughter, Nala Aubrey, and her fiancé,
Van Hunt. Berry's attorney said the family could now move forward
with a focus on Maceo's well-being
while a source called the decision a major win for the actress.
Next, Justin and Hailey Bieber
are facing new claims from former Hillsong pastor Carl Lentz
and his wife, Laura, about how their
friendship fell apart following his cheating scandal in 2020.
In their new book, Overcoming
Infidelity, 10 Conversations to Help You Heal the Hurt,
Laura recalled that the Biebers initially
offered to let her family stay in their New York apartment
while they explored a potential move to
Brooklyn. But after reports emerged about Carl's infidelity,
the couple allegedly reversed course
and gave the family just 24 hours to leave.
Laura said they rushed to pack their belongings into a
rented U-Haul, while Carl described the experience
as a painful blow during an already difficult
period after he was fired from Hillsong Church over what
the church called moral failures.
Carl also acknowledged that the scandal damaged
his close relationship with Justin
by dragging the singer and Haley into unwanted public attention.
The Lentz's said actor Tyler Perry was among
the few friends who stepped in to help,
offering the family a place to stay in his California mansion.
Finally, Kyle Cook is taking a swipe
at Wes Wilson after his ex-wife Amanda Batula
announced her exit from In the City.
The Summer House star left a since-deleted comment
on Wilson's latest Instagram photo dump
accusing him of being a cokehead who blew up Batula's life and career.
Page Six confirmed Cook posted the message at 6:51 a.m.
though it's unclear whether he or Wilson
deleted it the comment came less than a day after it
was reported that Patula would not return for
season two of the summer house spinoff
with sources offering conflicting explanations for
her departure including disagreements over filming with Wilson
and salary demands Patula and Wilson
confirmed their secret romance
in a joint statement earlier this year months after Patula
and Cook announced their separation following four years of marriage.
The scandal also contributed
to the end of Batula's friendship with co-star Sierra Miller,
who previously dated Wilson,
while Wilson was subsequently fired from Summer House Season 11.
