The Miami Heat have a MAJOR problem...
Oct 29, 2026
This Miami Heat team has a major problem
on their hands as now through four NBA games,
they are 0-4, and Bam Adebayo is catching a lot
of flack due to his performances that are lack
thereof, and now he's made it abundantly clear
that he is seeing all of the comments and concerns
online. I'm here to break down his most recent performance,
as well as his newest quotes
and comments about his overall play
and how he's being looked at and scrutinized online,
as well as a potential idea
for this Miami Heat team schematically that could potentially fix
what we are witnessing. We'll break down all
of that on this episode of Heat Digest so let's not
waste any more time and get right to it breaking down
the major flaws with this Miami Heat team
up to this point in the NBA season.
So let's first start with the box score as a whole for
this Heat team against the Dallas Mavericks last night October 26th
as not only was Bam not great
but there's other players that simply did not shoot the ball well.
But Giannis and Devion Mitchell continue to be lights out
and really the lifeline for this Heat team,
especially on the offensive end,
as Giannis was two assists away from a triple-double at halftime.
He finished with 29-14-11 on 55% shooting.
Mitchell was great himself, 21 points, only two assists,
but he shot 9-15 from the field,
was a focal point for this Heat team offensively
as they desperately needed it as Tim Hardaway Jr.,
Klay Thompson, and Bam Adebayo were all absolutely abysmal
in subpar, to say the absolute least.
For Bam Adebayo, because that is who we are focusing on in this video,
Klay and Hardaway were not great, once again,
especially shooting the three-point shot,
but Bam, eight points, eight boards, three assists,
plus minus of minus eight in this game,
but the shooting percentages are really what
are going to jump off the page at you.
0 of 5 from behind the three-point line
and 3 of 10 from the field overall now my biggest concern
with this is the fact that he shot five three-point
shots okay I mentioned it in the past the last few
days on this channel I love the fact that Bam has expanded
his offensive back and he has the ability
to shoot the three-point shot I don't like the fact
that he is shooting five of them a game okay
if you get an open spot up shot
and it's not late in the shot clock where it's a forced situation
take it knock it down be confident
in your ability get your feet set underneath you okay
knock it down I have faith in Bam to knock down
an open three-point shot but don't shoot five of
them again okay if you get five wide open opportunities
because Giannis continues to
dominate and drive into the painted area
and everyone collapses on him that is one thing
but going 0 of 5 and when you're 3 of 10
from the field I just I can't stand it okay you are 6 10 6 11
you have elite footwork you have the ability
and athleticism to dominate in the painted area
and just outside that the painted area just
a free throw line extended with your mid-range
jump shot whether it's out of the post in a fade away
or spot up situation rely on that that is
what has made you an all-star caliber player since being drafted out
of the University of Kentucky
years ago now that Giannis is there things have
definitely changed because there's another
juggernaut in the painted area dominating
and i understand that but please do not get away from
what has made you an all-star
and i feel like a lot of that is going into these problems that we
are witnessing from Bam Adebayo set some screens roll pop off
of those screens but don't fall all
the way behind the three-point line find yourself like
that LaMarcus Aldridge type of range okay he
made a career on a corner pocket mid-range jump shot two feet outside
of or off of the block out
of the painted area you can turn
into that especially playing off of Giannis and we all
know you're a phenomenal passer especially
for a power forward slash center dominate with your
ability to facilitate do not force shots get them
be aggressive don't get me wrong but don't force
three-point shots i i'm not trying
to contradict what i'm saying here it's the idea of relying on
the three-point shot to too high of a degree
is i think a huge problem with Bam Adebayo right
now remain aggressive attack the paint draw fouls use
the elite footwork that you've had your entire
basketball career pump fake get
to the free throw line finish amongst contact dunk the basketball
just dominate that is what we've witnessed from you
and rely on a mid-range jump shot every once
in a while when it opens up for you again
do not force it now he made some comments because he has
heard a lot of the conversation surrounding him
and how he is becoming the scapegoat and to the
failures of the Heat team where he had this to say following the game
or the oh and the fourth
consecutive loss for the Heat i should say
my shot's not going in i'm not going to overthink
that it's funny how the outside noise wants to make me the scapegoat
when the energy shifts be
prepared for that so not only is bam acknowledging
the fact that he's being just scrutinized all over
social media he is making abundantly clear
that he still has a lot of faith in this heat team the
dynamic of this Heat team the schematics of this Heat team
and he has a lot of faith they are going
to just flip ship and they are going to get things going
in a positive way in Miami and they are
going to start to dominate one of these games
and when they do all of these guys that were cracking
Bam Adebayo and his inabilities
and how he should be traded and this and that it's going
to change and it's going to go away
and I cannot wait for that to happen but I feel like either
the schematics of this Heat team playing next
to Giannis it's going to take some gelling it's
going to take some time without a shadow
of a doubt especially i know there was training camp
and there was the NBA Summer League which obviously Bam
and Giannis didn't play in but there were still
reps and time there where they're getting along
and they're getting to meet one another on a daily
basis and in the same facility in the same jersey
but then you had preseason which granted both of
those guys didn't play every minute
or every game like they're going to in the NBA regular season
to the best of their ability like there there's still
a moment of gelling that is going on that
is real in the opening weeks of this NBA season.
But it's just, everyone's getting a lot more and
more nervous by the day because they are 0-4.
They have failed to win a game. Now, Giannis would go
on to say, I've been in this position before.
I've lost five in a row. I've lost seven in a row. I
don't like this feeling. The moment we turn this around,
I'm going to always remember this feeling
and I'm going to try not to get back to this feeling.
I 100% love this. I love this response
from Giannis. I've been here. I've been there before.
I've been worse than this before. We're
going to do everything in our power to flip this ship around
and we are going to go in the opposite
direction at a rocket's pace and we're never going
to return to how we feel right now because we know
how it feels we know it sucks
and we don't want to be here ever again love that truly and truly do
and Bam Adebayo kind of alluded
to that with his original comments that we broke down and how
when things change and the vibe changes
and the feelings change remember how you guys are
scrutinizing me remember how you guys are selling your stock
and how you guys are going away from
this Miami Heat team as of four games
into this NBA regular season now Bam for the year he's
averaging 11.7 boards and three and a half assists
but the shooting percentages are what jump off the
table at you as he simply cannot get the shot
to fall not only from behind the three-point line
as he's shooting 16 and a half percent
but also the field goal overall 46 percent it's just not
working for Bam right now
so I leave this question to you guys and this is my idea
but kind of, I don't love it,
but just something to get the ball rolling
and really change the pace of things in Miami.
Should Bam be moved to the second unit?
Should Bam become the first guy off the bench
and be the big man for that second unit?
Spo loves to use a lot of the guys on this team.
Obviously, the starting unit being rounded out by Bam
and Giannis has not worked.
Do you throw Bobby Portis or Nick Richards
in that starting unit?
Allow Bam Adebayo to come in for Giannis Antetokounmpo
until things really start to gel.
I understand that would take away
their ability to mesh in-game scenarios,
but as it's working right now,
is it something that Eric Spoelstra takes on and possibly implements?
Let me know down below your thoughts and opinions,
and also, let me know,
do you think Bam on a bio is the scapegoat in this situation,
or is all the ridicule and all the flack he's catching online accurate?
Or is it true going both ways?
Let me know down below your thoughts and opinions,
and I will see you guys on the next episode of Heat Digest.
