Temple
Gospel Ministries with an
electrifying performance as the
evening celebrated the extraordinary
power of gospel music.
Even though they're competing against one another,
but we do it in love you know it's about showing our gifts
and our talents but yet giving God the
glory at the same time gospel music reminds us
of the extraordinary power of the human voice
the power to encourage the power to inspire the power to heal
and the power to bring people
together and tonight it did just
that Mayor Cherelle Parker joining in the celebration
as the choir members uplifted and united those enjoying every note.
It was also about encouraging education
and academics and going after scholarships.
We want to highlight the importance of college
and what it means or could be for our young people
and sort of focus them in that direction.
HBCU One Philly wraps up this Friday
and Saturday with HBCU college football matchups
both nights at Lincoln Financial Field.
But it's still chock full of other events in between,
including a college fair and a job fair.
