Temple investigating alleged sexual assault involving 2 students at off-campus residence

At noon, we do have to get to a kind of a troubling story out of Temple University where an alleged sexual assault involving students happened. The one at the off-campus home and police are also investigating also reports of a man exposing himself near the student center. Let's get out to Kelly Rule there as you're just learning about this. We're hearing about this here for the first time. Kelly, what have you learned? Yeah, Jason, we are. These are two unrelated incidents, but Temple University put out a message alerting the community about both of them saying that they are both actively under investigation. So according to Temple's crime log, the reported rape actually happened here at the Avery Philly Apartments. According to the log, it happened on Sunday between the hours of two and three in the morning. Again, in a message sent to students, the university said that police received a report of a sexual assault involving two students that knew each other and confirmed it did happen in an off-campus residence. They said they cannot comment on specifics but are working directly with the student who reported the incident and helping them navigate this. And separately, they also notified students of a report of an individual exposing himself at the Howard Gittes Student Center. Now, police say they have been investigating this for several weeks now, and they say this person is not associated with the university, but they have added additional security walkthroughs at the student center and also gave security staff a photo of the potential suspect so they know who to look out for. Again, all this happening just a few weeks after a reported rape back on October 10th. Now, according to police, in that incident, it happened at University Village, which is an off-campus student apartment building on North 10th Street. That incident is being investigated through the university's student conduct code. So the university, again, with all this, is reminding people, as we approach Halloween weekend, the vital importance of consent and safety and all the support and resources that are available. We have more information about those resources on Fox29.com. Jason? All right, Kelly Rule is still learning much more here about this, and we'll see you a little bit later tonight as you continue to dig into what happened there. Thank you very much.
