Halloween may be three days away,
but spooky season is already long gone,
at least here in Riverdale, New Jersey,
where the spirit of Christmas has already begun.
It's a Christmas fanatic's dream.
Lively animatronics of Frosty the Snowman
and the SnowMiser decorate the front
while giant inflatables and Christmas plushies
and nutcrackers line the shelves.
One of the first ever Northeast Spirit
Christmas stores is open for business,
a paradise for those who can't get enough holiday spirit.
You may find it odd that we're talking about jingling
and mingling this early, but we aren't the only ones.
You were going to get a Christmas tree already?
Yes, for my room.
It's not even Halloween yet.
Well, we don't celebrate Halloween.
I mean, we go out, but we don't celebrate Halloween.
All right.
Rushing, or shall we say ushering,
in the season is also underway in New York City.
Wollman Rink has its ice all smoothed and ready for skating.
And if you want to get a head start on skating season,
you can lace up and skate for free this weekend only.
Speaking of rinks, Winter Village at Bryant Park also opening today.
In addition to ice skating,
you'll get the chance to shop at nearly 200 pop-ups.
Grab a hot chocolate and feel festive in the heart
of New York City now through late February.
So who are we to say skip out on Halloween?
But if you're tired of the pumpkins and the skeletons
and you want to feel the magic of Christmas,
then you know where to go.
And there's more Spirit Christmas stores opening in the coming weeks.
We're in Riverdale, New Jersey.
