Well, a rash of fights at a Downriver
High School has parents demanding action.
They say the school district isn't doing enough to keep kids safe
or even keep them in the loop.
Fox 2's Dave Kinchin is live in Taylor tonight with more. Dave.
Yeah, parents say there have
been at least two major fights in the same week.
And they say the videos of those fights have
been going viral on social media.
Some of them have been taken down,
but this is a clip of one of those fights.
Well, one witness tells us
that 10 police cars showed up after one of those brawls.
Despite the melees and such a large police response,
parents are telling us that they got little
to no information from the school district
about what happened and what prompted those fights.
They also say the school does
not have enough security staff to ensure safety.
Watch.
I've seen the videos and it's ridiculous.
like these kids are scared to be in the school like
my kids none of no kids should ever be
scared some of these kids this could
be their only safe place to go to your son posts that
and then he's they threatened him with suspension yes they did
and when you heard that and they

my lawyer said they cannot suspend him it is his
first amendment right well tonight on the edge we're going
to meet some parents who say this is
one of many problems in the taylor school district
in recent years they say they're so fed up they are
running for school board
because they believe that's the only way they can inspire and create
change you'll hear from them tonight
