A 17-year-old has been arrested in connection
with a shootout outside of a home in South

Fox News' Vania Castillo went to the neighborhood today
and spoke with residents who say the
home has been known for hosting large parties.
At least six people shot outside of a party in South Dallas.
and now a high school student
and an unidentified 16-year-old are facing charges.
I spoke with neighbors in that community who say they aren't surprised
and that this has become a very common occurrence.
I don't know what to do. After the parties, I try to check my house,
check make sure ain't nobody dead nowhere because it's scary.
This is what Angela Seaton says has become
a weekend routine on South Berry Avenue in South Dallas.
Crowds outside a nearby house, cars lining the street,
at times gunfire and bullet holes in neighbors' homes.
And all of a sudden, gunshots, people running everywhere.
I'm in the house hiding
because I sit on my porch sometimes, but it's so scary.
That was the scene on October 4th at a little past 3 a.m.,
a mass shooting after an argument at a party.
According to a police affidavit, a group attended a party
on Southbury after hearing about it on Instagram.
But they got into an argument
with security guards and were told to leave.
The witness told police the group got into a Volkswagen SUV
with 17-year-old Martin Padilla behind the wheel.
As the group drove past a party, two passengers,
identified as only Dylan and 50,
pulled out guns and exchanged fire with the security guards.
At least six people standing nearby were wounded,
along with one person in the SUV.
Somebody got shot, six people.
And we don't even know how many other people may have been shot,
maybe just went somewhere else.
we don't know and it's scary and it's damn
so frustrating one security guard told detectives
that Padilla was also shooting
from the driver's seat police arrested him at JJ Pierce High School
in Richardson on October 20th
on six aggravated assault warrants police did not release details
about where they arrested the unidentified 16 year old suspect
but for Seaton this isn't just
about one night she says
the neighborhood she grew up knowing has changed so much that even
her own family is staying away.
I have grandkids that don't come over anymore
because they saw the stabbing and we can't
keep doing that, you know.
Dallas police say that three people were transported
to the hospital by Dallas Fire Rescue and
that another three drove themselves to the hospital.
So there are at least six known victims.
Now police say that none of them had life threatening injuries.
