AI GeneratedMeteorologist Crystal Ortiz provides a weather update for Arizona, noting current dry conditions and warm temperatures in the mid-to-upper 80s. While the immediate forecast remains mostly clear with thin clouds, a shift toward wetter weather is expected starting Friday, driven by moisture from the remnants of Tropical Storm Vance and an upcoming atmospheric disturbance.

All right, we're back at it, taking a look this time, Tempe Town Lake.
What a beautiful shot that we have here.
Of those dry conditions out there this morning,
you can see the bridge lit up real nicely.
And, no, I don't see anybody out early this morning.
Sometimes we'll catch somebody out on the water this early.
But it is looking like another day very similar to the last few,
which means temperatures warm up as we get into the afternoon,
into those mid-upper 80s.
Our view on Fox Vision shows one difference from the last few days
is we do have some clouds that are starting to move
into the northwest parts of the state, and that will continue
to spread across the state as the day goes on to more of like this kind
of partly cloudy sky, but not big puffs, more like thin, high clouds.
So you're going to still get some sunshine,
like tint, even into the afternoon.
Our future cast shows us these clouds as they move
into the state throughout your afternoon and evening.
Not very bulky clouds yet, but overnight into tomorrow morning.
Now we are starting to see a bit more cloud coverage fill out.
And, in fact, we'll go from a partly
to mostly cloudy sky as the day progresses.
Notice this model does show us
as we go later afternoon Thursday into Thursday night,
a couple scattered showers along eastern Arizona,
a couple sprinkles possible around the state into Thursday night.
But really, I think the better chance of rain is early morning hours
of Friday picking up throughout the day on Friday.
That's the first of two pulses of moisture that we're tracking.
So a lot at play here.
This is the future cast.
Directly to our south, we will have what's left moisture-wise
by Thursday of what is currently Tropical Storm Vance.
But that's going to be weakening as it moves into land here in Mexico.
Now, most of the moisture from Vance moves up
and into parts of Texas and New Mexico.
But there is enough moisture supply down to the south
that we will draw from that as we go into the Friday forecast.
So this is Friday in the morning,
and you can see that we're looking at some showers
and storms triggering thanks to that moisture supply from the south.
And that lasts through the day on Friday.
So especially in central Arizona, which includes the valley,
we are looking at some rain totals of maybe in the half an inch
or more territory as we go throughout the day Friday.
It's going to depend on the pockets of rain
or thunderstorms that are the heaviest.
So maybe not everybody sees those big totals,
but some folks probably will throughout the day on Friday.
Then we get a bit of a lull on Saturday for Halloween itself,
where we're looking at some spot showers, isolated chances during
the day, and a bit more scattered as the night goes on.
But past 7, 8 o'clock at night, now the next wave of moisture is moving
in, which means trick-or-treating is probably better the earlier
you can start versus the later and darker into the night it gets.
there is Sunday a good force of rain
because you've got the upper level trough running to the
north as a disturbance comes up from the southwest giving us
that combo effect of rain chances so the
excessive rain outlook shows us that Friday Saturday really
in the night and Sunday all put
us at a scattered flash flood risk over a good portion of the state
and all three days that does
include the valley our look at the 10-day forecast 87
for the high today tonight a low of 63 we're
still in the 80s tomorrow but then we drop.
We're middle 70s Friday. We're at 78 for Halloween
and we're at 71 only for a high on Sunday
with that good rain chance expected.
