Step inside a real old money New England home filled with antique furniture, beautiful art, blue-and-white wallpaper, and extraordinary historic craftsmanship. This historic house tour explores the authentic New England interiors I love: carved staircases, original architectural details, fireplaces, family portraits, and antiques with character and patina.

Built in 1782, this home has some of the most beautiful art I’ve seen on our house tours, with a collection that includes John Singer Sargent, Thomas Sully, and Fitz Henry Lane. From the spiral staircase to the blue dining-room wallpaper donated by Sargent, there is something to stop and admire around every corner.

Along the way, I’m sharing my favorite details and ideas we can bring into our own homes. Think warm wood furniture, meaningful objects, blue-and-white china, and art.

Then join me for a look at the Cape Ann Plein Air gala, with paintings inspired by the New England landscape and a waterfront view that felt like a work of art itself. I also share a little about my love of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston and the artists whose work I return to again and again
