First Time in Hoi An VIETNAM 🇻🇳 Is It Still WORTH IT?

Is it really worth it to travel to the lantern city Hoi An or is it already overrun by tourists? I had to see it for myself and headed out to explore everything Hoi An has to offer. You can come to Vietnam and have your outfits tailored. What is this? Silk. Yeah, wow. Silk dress would be so nice. The food here is definitely something else. And this place actually feels like I've traveled back in time. I love the roads in Hoi An. They are so, so cute. Except for the amount of tourists. It's the foot massage. Let's go. I would say it's very touristy, but they make it look super cute. I went on a mission to find out if it's still worth a visit or if it lost its charm. Lots going on. I'm so overstimulated. We have officially made it to the lantern city of Vietnam, which is Hoi An. And we're going to explore quite a lot today. First order of business, as always, is to find a good coffee spot. And I'm very confident that we'll make some good discoveries here. I heard Vietnamese coffee is really, really good. I'm going to start off with this coffee shop. Oh, I just walked past it. Oh, there you go. Which is called the Espresso Station. Want my handsome man here? Wow, very cute vibe here. Look at that, wow. Definitely love the attitude here. Of course, they're roasting their own coffee beans here, so I'm super, super excited to try the coffee. All right, so usually I would go with classic coffee, but there is a Vietnamese coffee collection I think we're just going to try the salt coffee, the coconut coffee maybe and I'm very intrigued by the egg coffee. We had the Vietnamese classic one at the hotel so probably these three. We're just going to try a few coffees here but they have a really really creative venue. This is very cool. Dark soul with what is it? Premium milk and premium Japanese activated charcoal. mm-hmm affogato very nice yum all right the coconut coffee came out I'm going to take a spoon of the cream mmmm oh yum it's actually just ice with coconut and it goes so well because I thought it was going to be very creamy and heavy mmm it's actually super refreshing not too sweet yum it's like a tiramisu it's like a tiramisu yeah we got the egg coffee so creamy yeah and this is the salted coffee with some cream on top, it's a little better yeah, we properly mixed this one and now it actually tastes really really good, it's sweeter and it's just way smoother yeah, it's better when it's mixed i think my favorite so far was the coconut one, okay so i have to quickly charge my devices because filming in this heat in 4k on all of my devices really sucks the battery life out of it so time to charge, so i'm a type A traveler of course i'm traveling with a power bank, this is the iNu which i have to say you should have no matter what if you're traveling, if you're on the go, this is a must-have and what i really love about this one is that it's compact, this is the size of my phone so this is pretty pretty stunning when it comes to size for a power bank and it still has enough power so I can quickly top up my phone or even some of my other gear while I'm on the move. this thing here is made for travelers like me because I am that kind of adventure traveler that sometimes gets a little bit clumsy. It's designed to handle water, dust and drops so I don't have to be worried when I'm running around shooting. Definitely gets the Nelly stamp of approval. By the way the string here is actually a cable so you have the cable for usb-c right here and you can just take it, plug it in and we're charging, if you're on the go as much as i am, definitely get the iNu power bank, it is linked in the description box down below as always, they also have a launch offer and welcome gift for new customers so definitely check it out and now back to the vlog, okay that coffee hit the spot, we had three coffees and we are so pumped, so much energy walk down the street and there are so many tailors here so you can come to vietnam and have your outfits tailored this lovely lady just told me that it takes two days to um do a dress which you know it's doable for our stay they have different designs you can even make some suits looking very nice oh yeah people and you can choose different fabrics they have a lot of different materials here is this what is this silk yeah wow silk dress would be so nice oh wow so you have a whole menu that's so cool oh wow that looks really cool love yeah it's just a bummer that we live in the tropics so like wearing a suit is not really a thing yeah of course like for the girls hello i like dressing up for dinner dates so they have pants short skirts evening cocktail dress casual dress women's suit look at this oh wow okay so as you walk out you see the street is full of tailors here and there's some leather stores as well and what's interesting about Hoi An is that they want to preserve the old vibe that the old city has with like all of these houses even Starbucks as you can see here had to adjust to the design to preserve the cultural heritage of Hoi An appropriately quite a bit and i spoke to my friend who just recently visited Hoi An and she said you have to go to this banh mi store and i already spotted a long line look at that must be good it's a long line here that's the spot this looks so freaking delicious this is the chicken one but yeah this wow we are walking towards the old town we are kind of like already in the old town but we just decided to go this uh very cute little side road very very cute look at the flowers here nice one point that i have to point out is that the vietnamese really love to honk there's a lot of honking going on as you can see in the background So I don't know if it's due to the nature of like people just walking on the streets or just kind of like a warning honk of like, hey, I'm coming, watch out. But yeah, I'm pretty much used to it, being that I live in Asia. This lady, it seems like it's a popular local spot. A lot of people are just dining here, barely talking, and if people are not talking, that's a great indicator that the food is good. just saved that spot on my google maps because we said we are going to come back must be really good and i think i also saw that this is one of the dishes that you have to try that are very unique to hoi an so we will be back i'll let you know how it was oh i love the roads in hoi an they're so so cute look at that all right a lot of tourist traps here as you can see but i have to say i really want these socks we are made for each other forget about it friends forever you are the one for me okay i don't know what's going on here but it looks interesting like all these people are just sitting in these taxis i guess i don't know i guess it's some kind of like city tour that they can sign up for all righty we made it to the river and there are so many boats lined up a lot of the tour guides here are asking me if i want to join a ride might be something that i can do in the evening i heard it's really really beautiful during night time uh when the lanterns are lit up in the city and you know have a little romantic moment with my boyfriend um but yeah definitely something that i want to try and also i heard that the Hoi An night market is also very cool so we're going to check it out a little bit later for now we might just go for a little massage because we need a little rest okay we are entering the market area we have a lot of fruits and veggies here a lot of vendors so so nice wow look at all of these fruits yum oh it smells so good i wish this would be a small camp we have some mushrooms here what is that vegan bacon wow and the market actually continues through here we're going to go a different route because we have to go to a massage place but there's plenty to see for sure oh there's some fresh fish here flowers so nice a little attraction here everybody stop for the little kitty oh by the way because it has been raining i said we could technically do a lantern making class because these lanterns look so so cool and would be so nice to like make your own another thing that we said we could do if it's raining is a for and i also just saw that they have a bathtub outside so looks pretty cool okay got some tea after the massage some cookies okay we are going to have an after massage banh mi because this is the next viral spot that we're visiting there was also a line earlier on it's less people now but uh from what i can see the master himself Anthony Bourdain was here so let's see if he was right so let's go all right we came out and it is already night time you see all of the lanterns lit up it is such a vibe so different from what we saw earlier on and we're going to make our way to the night market to see how it is during night time there and also the river area seems to be really really cool during night time as well it has me so much going on you have these stunning lanterns everywhere it's so vibrant and lively it's just i don't know something that i haven't seen in such a long time and this is definitely worth a visit there are a lot of lanterns here which you can see also some traffic going on on the river but i have to say it's really cute right i would say it's very touristy but they make it look super cute you have a cute little lantern here so the boat ride is over it was 20 minutes for 170 if you want some extra luck it's two dollars for the lanterns that you can light up and let it float in the river it was nice no well worth it yeah all right so this is one of the lantern sellers thank you okay apparently they have these lanterns set up for picture spots so you can just go in get that candid IG shot this is what it looks like when it's empty we made it to my kind of market which is the night food market so many food stalls here besides food stalls you also have a lot of clothing bags a bunch of stuff here there's so much going on i'm frankly squeezed in between a group of aunties lost my man oh there he is It's okay. I'm so overstimulated. This market is insane. It would be funny though if I get a grab jacket and every time I call grab Yeah there are grab jackets here for sale. Something that I personally love are these things. They smell so good just for inhaling like different herbs. Can I smell this? This one you can buy. Oh, yum. 50. There are also these from, I think these are from Thailand, yeah? Yeah, the same from Thailand. If you know, you know. If you feel nauseous, this is something that you want. This is also 50? No, this one I have is from America. I didn't mean for you, 80. 80? I have the same bowl, you can buy. Ah, yeah. So good. And when I was a kid, my dad used to bring these. Heals everything. It's like a tiger balm. so you just put it on whatever hurts okay i think i take one of these okay all of the watches that you want you can find them here Rolex Omega Patek Philippe Cartier street food stalls everywhere and on the other side the designer bags this one i spotted it's called uh morning glory but there's a food hall downstairs which is called the Hoi An Eatery and it has different uh different restaurants combined there's like a little bit going on we have direct view of the kitchens a gentleman playing the guitar okay we were so lucky with the weather today because yesterday it rained the whole day so we couldn't really go out and today we decided to just go and luckily no rain but now it's raining really hard but we have our raincoats so we're not made of sugar as we Germans say there is no bad weather there's only bad clothes German wisdom with Nelly Wow best purchase in Vietnam
