This FILIPINO Trait SAVED me once again… 🇵🇭
In this Siargao travel vlog, I took my foreigner friends around the island to experience some of my favorite food, coffee and local spots - but our day ended with an unexpected experience that reminded me why the Filipino people are so special.

Our first stop was "CEV Siargao", one of the popular restaurants on Siargao Island known for fresh local seafood. This was the perfect opportunity to introduce my foreigner friends to "Kinilaw", one of the most famous Filipino dishes. Often compared to ceviche, Filipino Kinilaw is made with fresh raw fish, vinegar and local ingredients - and I couldn't wait to see what they thought of it!

After our Filipino food experience, we headed to "Saint Thomas Coffee", one of the popular coffee shops in Siargao, to try what might be some of the best coffee on the island.

But Siargao is changing quickly, and there's so much more to do here than surfing and island hopping. We also discovered a new pickleball and padel court in Siargao and stopped by to show you what it looks like.

Then our day took a completely unexpected turn... I realized that I had lost my camera in Siargao.

After asking locals for help, something happened that perfectly represents one of the things I love most about the Philippines: Filipino honesty and hospitality. Thanks to the kindness and honesty of the local people, I was reunited with my camera.

Moments like this are why traveling around the Philippines is about so much more than beautiful beaches. It's the food, the culture, the unexpected experiences and, most importantly, the Filipino people that make this country so memorable.
