I visited my foreigner friends living on Siargao Island, Philippines - The British vlogger family @8milesfromhome from England that I first met during the pandemic when I was stranded in the Philippines.

In this video, I’m taking you inside their everyday life as foreigners living in the Philippines and showing what it’s really like to raise a family, vlog, travel, and build a life on one of the most beautiful islands in the country.

We talk about their experiences with Filipino culture, local life in Siargao, living abroad, expat life in the Philippines, and the friendships they’ve built with Filipinos over the years. It’s also interesting to see the Philippines through the eyes of foreigners who decided not just to visit - but to actually call it home.

For me, this visit was also personal. We met during one of the strangest times of our lives - the pandemic - when I unexpectedly found myself stranded in Siargao. Years later, we’re reunited in Siargao, looking back at how much life has changed since then.
