MKUltra Never Ended: From Dead Rock Stars to Silicon Valley Ketamine
Fentanyl on the streets. Strong cannabis on every corner. Ketamine and psychedelics in Silicon Valley. A generation on pharmaceuticals. John Potash has spent thirty years in the government documents, and he says none of this started recently.
John Potash, author of Drugs as Weapons Against Us and The FBI War on Tupac Shakur, joins me to trace how the CIA and allied intelligence agencies used drug trafficking, MKUltra experiments, and mind control programs to shape the counterculture and the artists who led it. We follow the paper trail from the CIA's LSD experiments to the heroin and crack epidemics, and to the musicians who were targeted once they got sober and turned political: Jimi Hendrix, John Lennon, Janis Joplin, Kurt Cobain, and Tupac Shakur. The FBI files on Hendrix, Lennon and Joplin are real, and Potash walks through what they contain.
Then we bring it to the present: how the same playbook runs through mass SSRI prescriptions, marijuana legalization, and the Silicon Valley push for microdosing and ketamine. Same program, new packaging, told through court documents, declassified files, and FBI records.
Subscribe for weekly deep dives into hidden history, and tell me in the comments: did the counterculture happen to America, or was it done to America?
