Fran Brown on the game-winning play as Syracuse topped UNC

Yeah, it was good. I mean, overtime touchdown, I was very thankful. I knew that, I had a feeling that we would score on that, you know, from just from him running it after they stopped us on the play before and then being able to get that. But the two point conversion, I was sitting there to myself like, I'm not gonna just go for two. Might as well just go for two when you know the things that you're thinking and we're gonna go into another overtime. You're doing this against Belichick, just all types of stuff running through my head. And I was like, go for two. And then when they said the play was gonna go to Calvin, I was like, yeah, we're going for two. So I was just confident in the players, right? I think it's players, not plays. So just understand and know who scored a touchdown and then who goes for the two point conversion and how good that made us feel. It's just confident in our players and the work that they put in, especially being able to see that play. The red zone was important to us, that we go down there and get points. That's been an issue for us throughout the season so far. We haven't been able to score in the red as much as we want. And then getting down there, just false starts and pre-snap penalties and things of that nature, didn't have as many today when it came to that. So all those things are things that we were working on and I wanted to fix. So it showed up today and that's really good. I'm very thankful to have you.
