and I'll teach you loads of secrets how to make the
most amazing vegan desserts ever!
Okay guys, let's get started!
In a large bowl you want to add your plain flour
and you want to use a large bowl as
As this recipe makes a lot of donuts you can also halve this too.
Then add sugar, then also add baking soda
and we're gonna add some cinnamon and nutmeg.
I really feel that these spices bring out
the best in these vegan donuts and I absolutely
love them so you're gonna have to just trust me on this one.
Once you've added all your dry ingredients
you wanna just mix it all together with a
spoon just to make sure it's nice and even.
In a pot, I'm going to add my wet ingredients,
so I'm adding almond milk, you can use any
other vegan milk that you like,
I'm adding canola oil and I'm adding apple cider vinegar.
Lastly, I'm adding my vanilla extract
and we're just going to mix everything together
until it's nice and smooth.
You always want to do your wet and dry ingredients separately,
that way it's just going to incorporate
much better.
You want to add half of your wet mixture into your dry mixture
and then mix everything with
a spoon.
Then add the rest of your wet ingredients
and then mix one more time until the dough
starts to come together and you will see it will be nice and smooth.
It's really important that you put the dough into a piping bag
because it will be very
tricky to put this dough into a doughnut mould using a spoon,
it will be really messy so
do get a piping bag and place your mixture in there.
It's better if you leave your dough to rest for about 30 minutes
but if you're not patient
enough, you can pretty much cook straight away.
Once your mixture is inside, I'm going to have
to do two piping bags as it's a lot of mixture and a lot of donuts.
I'm using this silicone mold
donut shape. You can use any molds that you have.
They're super cheap on Amazon that you can get.
I've provided all the links on my Amazon stores, by the way, guys.
So everything I use in all my
videos, you can find in there for UK and US versions.
So you want to go around with your
finger and just make sure your mold is oiled this is really essential
and then pipe up your
donut mixture and I'm using just a cooking spray by the way
and then we're going to bake these and
once they're done they look just like that you can see
that my oven doesn't cook evenly there
are some that were slightly over baked from one side
but it doesn't really matter you don't want
to over bake them so they do need to be quite pale
when you take them out as you will see now
they're quite browned on top and this is perfect.
We don't want to cook them anymore as you still
want to have that kind of doughnut-y flavor,
nice and crunchy and soft at the same time.
We're going to leave them to cool down completely
and now it's time to make our icing. So I like to
make a big bowl straight away and then divide it into two.
Here I have icing sugar and I'm mixing
it together with some almond milk
and just mixing it to the desired consistency. I will leave the
measurements that I've used
but this one is completely optional some people like thicker
icing some people like less thick icing
and for my first flavor it's mixed berries so I'm adding
mixed berry puree or you can
also use jam if you don't have a puree and you can adjust the
consistency to how you like it
so if it's too thick you add a bit more milk if it's too thin
you add a bit more icing sugar.
Then take your cooled donut with a pretty side and then dip into
your icing a couple of times until it's covered
and then place it onto your cooling rack. This
way any excess icing will drip down
and will not make a mess in your kitchen. They set pretty
quickly and you then want to decorate them
with whatever flavors you want on top. I'm adding some
dried freeze raspberries and strawberries.
This is a mixed berry doughnut and they just
look so pretty guys, they're so delicious.
I made them for the event and nobody knew
that they were vegan as well by the way.
And I've added some flowers, edible flowers and
some white icing just to make it pretty.
Now we're going to make our chocolate Oreo version
so add cocoa powder into the rest of your icing
and again adjust it depending on how
thin or thick you like it and pretty much repeat
the process we're going to dip the donuts and then
place them on the cooling rack
and then decorate with whatever topping you want you can add more
chocolate i've decided to add crunchy oreo cookies
and there you go this is how it looks so delicious
and chocolatey our third flavor is my favorite it's cookie butter
so i'm using cookie butter
inside my icing mixing it together
and as you can see I adjust it as I go and I
absolutely love cookie butter
and I only just recently discovered that they were
vegan yes I know so you want to decorate with some cookies
and maybe some more
crushed cookies just
to make them look super pretty I actually want to know
which ones are you gonna be your favorite guys
so do let me know in comments down
below next one is again my favorite it's
crunchy peanut butter I do think crunchy
peanut butter works better as it really adds
that flavor to the texture. The donuts are already soft
so if you're using soft peanut butter it just doesn't have
that much um not flavor but I would
say it doesn't have that crunch you know
and you do want to have those nuts and or you can obviously
add more crushed nuts on top it's up to you.
And then these are peanut butter chocolates so I'm
just going to add a little bit of chocolate glaze on here
and then decorate it with some
vegan pretzels
and there you are guys look at this beautiful mix of donut box
they went to a health event and everyone loved them
