Falke's scientist, Vincent Munster,
and researcher charged with smuggling monkeypox into America.
Top National Institute of Health virologist
and gain-of-function advocate Vincent Munster
has been charged with allegedly smuggling undeclared pathogen samples
into America from Africa for years.
animal testing watchdog White Coast Waste has
documented how monstrous reckless cruel experiments
on primates and bats wastes millions in taxpayers dollars
while posing serious biosafety and national
security risks on Tuesday the U.S. Attorney's Office
for the Eastern District of Michigan
He announced that Munster, 53 years old, a Dutch citizen
and chief of the virus ecology section at the National Institute
of Health Rocky Mountain Laboratory, as in the U.S. government's
National Institute of Health in Hamilton, Montana.
and his colleague Claude Quy, 38, from Cameroon,
a fellow researcher in Munster's lab,
was charged in a criminal complaint with conspiracy
to smuggle monkeypox into the United States
and making false statements to federal law enforcement.
According to the Justice Department's complaint,
Munster and Quy flew into Detroit Metropolitan Airport's McNamara Terminal
on January 25 after traveling from Brazzaville, Republic of Congo,
where a monkeypox outbreak was actively underway.
Customs and Border Protection officers noticed
the pair was carrying a large black plastic case.
When questioned,
both men falsely claimed it contained diagnostic and testing equipment.
According to the Department of Justice,
subsequent investigations by the CBP and FBI agents revealed
that the case actually contained 113 vials of styrofoam coolers.
As of the date of the complaint,
the FBI has tested only 20 of the 113 vials.
17 of them contained monkeypox virus,
1 contained chickenpox virus, and 2 contained human DNA.
The press release added,
the work of both of these men is focused on emerging viral pathogens
and how those pathogens cross the species barriers.
They work at a biosafety level four laboratory,
which employs the highest ranking level of biosafety precautions
for scientific research of known and potential human pathogens.
But they were running around the airport with it.
In a statement, U.S. Attorney Joe F. Gordon Jr. did not mince words.
Quote, these NIH experts apparently broke our laws
by smuggling viral pathogens on a packed commercial flight
from an outbreak in the Republic of Congo.
Let that sink in.
FBI Detroit special agent in charge,
Jennifer Runyon, added, quote,
No researchers should believe their positions, credentials,
or professional status place them above any law.
The allegations in this case are very serious.
They involve the dangerous
and unlawful smuggling of monkeypox virus in the United States
and alleged efforts to mislead our federal agents.
God bless you guys.
Hopefully they put these guys under the jail.
More National Institute of Health trash.
Folks, under-under liar.
