World News Report Today! We're observing a significant solar storm event, with real-time solar wind data indicating entry into a geomagnetic storm. The Kp index is a key factor here, though there are some discrepancies in the data presented by NOAA. This event impacts the earth magnetic field, making it crucial to monitor the solar activity closely. James Coughlin analyzes a recent geomagnetic storm, questioning the discrepancy between official KP index reports (G1 to G3) and actual satellite data. He argues that the predicted high plasma levels and solar wind speeds never materialized, suggesting that the reported storm conditions are not supported by real-time measurements from the DSCOVR and ACE satellites.
James Coughlin will report today.
Ladies and gentlemen, I was waiting
and waiting for that geomagnetic storm.
Looks like we entered it just over seven hours ago.
Now, I have some real problems
with the information they're presenting here.
We're looking at four KP indexes.
The one that NASA and NOAA use is the Estimated Planetary KP Index.
It says that we started out about six, seven hours ago.
the G1 geomagnetic storm moved to a G2 geomagnetic storm.
And, well, just for comparisons,
we'll take a look at the college index.
It says we started out with a G2 geomagnetic storm after
disturbance, and our last three-hour bar was a G3 geomagnetic storm.
Now, what are my problems
with that. Alright, here we were
looking for a cannibal
CME made up of two or three
different
plasma injections
all getting around at the same time.
I know it did have the impact
starting yesterday
evening, not
this evening, as we
are in the period today.
And look at the plasma
shut up over 50 centimeters
cubed, and the solar winds
up to over 1,000 kilometers per second.
Ladies and gentlemen, none of that occurred.
We're not even in real solar storm
or geomagnetic storm conditions.
Here is Discovered Real-Time Solar Wind Satellite.
Actually, it hangs out at Lagrange Point One.
It gives us about a 30-minute warning before
the space weather actually hits Earth.
Well, huge problems.
Now, I don't care where the shields are.
All I care about right now is looking at the plasma levels
that have never climbed up over 10.8.
Now, remember, 10 is good.
There's an 11.245.
So, never climbed up to even 12 centimeters cubed.
But 10 is the place for the threshold.
So, it being at 12 centimeters cubed would
be a mild disturbance at best.
remember they said the plasma would go up to 50 plus centimeters cubed
so i worked my way through
the day and nothing like that has ever occurred
the plasma didn't increase in intensity it
decreased going into that G2
or G3 depending on what Kp index you look at magnetic storm here
You'll see it just popped up here,
but it's still only at 730 kilometers per second.
Remember, they had estimated it to go over 1,000 kilometers per second.
And regularly when you see this 746, the highest 740,
you're looking at a geomagnetic disturbance,
not a G2 or 3 geomagnetic storm.
And this hasn't even shown up on the Kp index yet.
All of these much slower winds at 598,
at 627, these are just regular winds.
I mean, you can say, well, regular is down here,
James, at 405, or here's your pop.
What, to 550?
You see the temperature does, well,
in fact, jump with the plasma above,
at, what, up to, let's start at 12,
or almost, not even 12 centimeters cubed.
and the plasma, or the solar winds, up to 570 kilometers per second.
Again, the stronger winds here could, in fact, be about a G1, G1 geomagnetic storm,
but our shields are now normally pointed,
and it looks like they're almost up here, almost up.
So I decided to look at ACE.
This is very confusing.
There's no space weather here.
no significant plasma whatsoever definitely not 55 centimeters cubed
and no significant solar
winds definitely not 1 000 kilometers per second now discover
was ACE's replacement but ACE is still
functioning so i like to compare the two
and we can see the onslaught right here about the same
time period the temperature proving it
but what are we doing we're going from 520 to 550 here
and then back down fastest solar ones we've seen are about 740
and those wouldn't have dropped
as far as the Kp index yet let's take a look
at the plasma we have maybe one minute two minutes
It's maybe three, four minutes total today
of plasma in space weather threshold territory,
i.e. above 10 centimeters cubed
and nowhere near 50 centimeters cubed as we saw on the forecast.
So what is going on here, I ask?
I hope you see what I see.
Remember, this bump up in solar winds,
well, that Kp index three-hour period
hasn't dropped yet so whatever caused
the G1 G2 G3 depending on what Kp index you look at
sure didn't hit the satellites
and the satellites are our early warning system directly in between
us and the sun i've got some real questions never seen anything like
this now let me know what y'all
think in the comments below hopefully
y'all understood what my questions here are no plasma
and no solar winds but we're in a geomagnetic storm
and we have been for the last six plus seven
eight hours god bless please let me know what you think please share
and subscribe give us a thumbs
up and remember anything is possible in bizarro world
