So the other day, it was opening night for the 76ers at home.
The president of the United States ends up calling him out
because, again, whatever you
want to make, it's a Colin Kaepernick moment here.
And President Trump voiced his opinion
that here's LeBron James practicing his golf game at a
game and not saluting the flag.
And when you see this, you say, why?
Why?
What's the point here?
Are you looking for the attention
that you would normally get no matter what?
Dude, you're LeBron James.
All eyeballs are on you.
You're not a Tyrese Maxey.
You're not a Joel Embiid.
People don't put eyeballs on them.
They watch every single thing you do.
It's the tiger factor.
It's Tom Brady.
There's certain athletes that people's vision
and people's focuses will always be on.
Some guys take it, and they run with it, and do great things with it.
LeBron James has been the most decisive person in NBA history
because he's never taken his
platform and really united fans.
Hey, dude, I get it.
You want to be an activist?
You know the greatest thing about Muhammad Ali?
Muhammad Ali never protested in the ring
at any time during any one of his fights, but
he was one of the greatest ambassadors
for civil rights outside of the ring that's what made Ali
two great people in one he never disrespected
the players he was playing with or against he always
looked at the people that he had in the ring people say
that hey look at what Ali did Ali never
used his sport in any way shape
or form to do any kind of disruption to his sport if you think
praying as a Muslim in a corner is disruptive, you got an issue.
Ali never did that. Ali did
everything outside the ring.
Athletes today that use their sport instead of using their platform
are not genuine. When I watch Steph Curry
and I see the things that Steph, Steph Curry sits down
one day, I'm watching the game, takes his shoes off right there.
And it was not something that
was orchestrated.
And he gave this fan, this little girl, these shoes, signed them, took
pictures with her. And it was a moment that'll last forever.
And that moment probably
resonates with that girl and looks at Steph Curry as,
wow, that guy took special times with me
to make a moment for me. And it was genuine.
It just looks at every single thing that LeBron
James has done in his career has been orchestrated.
He doesn't look genuine. Here's a point too.
So he's going to play for the Sixers
and helicopter out of Philadelphia every game
and live in New York. I mean, it's about the brand.
I get it. Yeah. And by the way,
just so we clear on it, in a Fanatics helicopter
that he does business with, this is not genuine.
Look, you really think he cares that he's playing with the 76ers?
Of course not. This is about the
final chapter for LeBron James. Remember something.
You know, the last dance, that biopic that was on
Michael Jordan, this has got to end great for him
because his battle with Jordan and the ghost of
Jordan will live on forever. He'll never catch that ghost.
Jordan is the NBA and will always be.
The Nike brand assures that.
You see it every Saturday in college football, the Jordan logo.
it'll never go away the Michael Jordan brand lives
and grows every single day LeBron is holding on
that's why he's got to make these infantile gestures
at a game practicing his golf swing
during the national anthem hey man this guy loves standing on anthills
because he surely doesn't
stand on issues that this country needs somebody standing
as a leader for keep standing on them
manhills, LeBron. That's who you
really are.
