Jimmie's Passion Fuels a Triumphant New Jersey Return

So it goes to show, man, you're active. You want to get out there. And this is about how much fun do you have right now, Jimmy? Because if you're not having fun at this stage of your life, what are you doing this for? I love it. It's a passion of mine. I love doing it. It was very hard to stop doing it. And then when I heard they were coming back from Prudential Center, right away they announced it. I started training in August to get ready for something. And I didn't think I was going to get any. To be honest with you, September time rolled around, and three weeks out from the fight, they get a call. hey you want to fight in the card i'm like yeah i want to fight in the card let's do it and uh at this point now even it's just a love for the sport love doing it love going out love going out and fighting um especially at the Prudential Center especially fighting right in my backyard it's like my third time the Prudential Center i fought last october fought in the ufc there it's just if you're born and raised in new jersey is where you want to fight and put on the show yeah and it's super cool that they do put on shows as much as they do there right so it gives opportunity you don't have to travel much uh if you don't want to so we got we got under two minutes uh left here right now so how the hands how you feel right now you said you feel pretty good you got just a little bit of a scratch and back to uh back to reality right now looks like you're already at work already right now aren't you yeah i mean uh literally relaxed with the kids and the family my wife and then just came back to work to all day today stuff i was at the PD during the day Monday yesterday and then i was at my school at night uh just back to reality like you said um and then you know tomorrow get back into training and and start getting ready for what i have coming up um honestly when you go back we were asking before i really took my time and enjoyed the whole process of fight week media weigh-ins the mock weigh-ins all that the fight itself just really enjoyed it i think i think the hardest part was like all right like once i got to arena i'm like all right i got everything done i was warming up i'm like all right let's let's do this let's get out there and fight now like that that was probably the the hardest thing for me to be patient about is getting out there and getting and getting into the first round so you really just soaked it all up soak the experience up absolutely awesome man i've watched this we've played it on the show a million times over and over it's just one of those how many times have you watched it do you have you watched the whole fight have you watched the clip what do you do with your own fights after have you watched the whole fight yeah i usually watch the whole fights i'm gonna get to that this week i've been swamped and busy with work a lot of things were held off because i was off last week so i'm catching up on everything on both sides of the spectrum and even stuff at home so i am uh gonna sit down with probably the kids this weekend and the wife and just watch the fight and uh i tell you right now i'm gonna say one more time i watched the highlights over and over again i had no idea he was out on top of me i was thought he was still fighting and trying to tie on and tie it tied up so i just you know great stuff jimmy we always appreciate your time congratulations on another win we look forward to the big news and a surprise announcement coming up thanks for the time my man anytime thank you
