Does Matty Traore have a different injury now,
and what are your hopes for him this year?
A little bit.
You know, his knee just kind of swells up,
and so it's not necessarily his foot,
which he tore the tendon last year.
And so now it's just kind of one of those, you know,
who knows how often it will kind of swell up.
But, you know, for the most part he's been able to practice.
You know, we're going to have to load manage him,
and, you know, it might be two practices here, one off.
And then, you know, once he gets closer to games, you know,
just practice him, you know, two days prior to a game and then play.
uh, depending on how he recovers.
And, and was with, uh, Wesley Yates, you know,
really unfortunate for a shooter to have
his wrist broken on his shooting hand.
And I know he's probably still trying to get it back.
What he, what he had, his numbers were
dramatically different from USC to last year.
And he had a tough finish. I don't think he could
really handle the pain,
but what are your hopes for him and how can he get his wrist back to
something? Yeah. You know, uh,
cause he was playing well early in the season last year.
He had some great games like the USC game down there,
the game at Washington State.
And then he broke it, I think,
in the first six minutes of the Seattle U game.
And then he obviously got rushed to the hospital when he broke it.
And it's hard enough for a shooter when you break your shooting hand.
And then he missed, I think it was like six, seven games.
And then came right back.
It might have been Michigan.
It might have been his first game back, one of those.
And so it's hard to get back into rhythm,
and then especially when you've got a plate
in your shooting hand.
And so it was hard, and he's such a competitive kid.
Like, you never know, you know, unless,
like, you could tell by his percentages
that something was bothering him.
But, like, he'd still come and fight and compete every day.
It's just who he is.
It's how he's built.
And it's, like, I appreciate it about him.
But it's one thing now that we got the plate out.
Now it's, you know, I think his wrist is feeling pretty good.
You know, he had a different injury
this summer where he was out for, you know,
about four months, you know, with some blood clots.
And so, you know, he missed the entire summer and all of September.
So he just got back probably three weeks ago, you know,
which is another tough blow for him.
But, like, he's back now, and we think we have, you know,
the medication to, you know, keep his blood, you know,
levels under control and all that.
He's been really good since he got back.
