All right, let's get a look at our forecast here, Amisha.
Another really good day on tap.
Yep, no complaints here, and I think most of you out there will agree.
Now, like Anthony said a
little earlier today, it felt a little bit hotter, and it was.
In fact, we made it all the way up to
87 degrees out at Bush Airport for today,
about four degrees shy of our record high of 91. So
yeah, hotter, but not record heat.
So at least it wasn't extreme heat. But it's several degrees
above the average high of around 81
so overall it's a little toastier but nothing too crazy we've
got more awesome weather ahead
with pleasant mornings warm afternoons quiet weather extends
into the weekend so it's going to feel great it's going
to look great get outside take advantage
while it sticks around now as we go through next week that's
when we are expecting the pattern to
kind of shift or change a little bit more clouds eventually
and maybe some really good rain chances
towards the end of next week
but we'll worry about that next week right now we do still have
that air quality alert for tomorrow like i said earlier
that's extended through about 9 30 tomorrow
evening and we also have very high ragweed pollen levels
so if that kind of irritates you you may
not want to be out there too much
and also the higher ozone levels may have you wanting to limit
that time outside tomorrow as well otherwise it's going
to be gorgeous out there right now we're
pleasant at 70 degrees.
We've got comfortable temps all across the state. Closest rainfall
down around south Texas and there's not much there.
Of course, the craziest weather across
the country really has been across
the southwestern U.S. where for multiple days now
we've had wild weather like confirmed tornadoes,
which is pretty rare for the Arizona area.
Two days in a row of tornado watches
and you can still see that tornado watch east of Phoenix
tonight and coming up very close to albuquerque
and still a lot of severe storms going on we had
reports of two inch hail added some
of those storms golf ball to egg size hail so not the
best scenario and big delays at the airports
as well including san francisco and also the vegas
area and even in phoenix so slowdowns there and we
also have had some issues a little bit more minor
across the northeastern u.s we do still have
those coastal flood advisories and those are some
impacts from post-tropical cyclone Josephine.
So this is a system that popped up in the western
Atlantic. It is moving away from the U.S. and it's
not expected to have any major impacts to
the U.S. or Canada, but it is going
to have hurricane force winds by early tomorrow morning.
So thank goodness it is rolling out of here
and it's not going to be an issue for too much longer
for the northeast. So we're looking great here.
Close to perfect weather. Find a reason to get
outside it is gorgeous next few afternoons if you are going to be out
and about maybe going for a
walk a bike ride doing a little work in the yard hanging out
in the patio maybe doing some pickle
ball on the golf course weather looking nice
for all of it middle to upper 80s for the afternoon
so yes that's a little above where we should
be for this time of october but at least it's not
bouncing back to record heat at least
not quite texans tailgating for sunday morning looking
awesome as well 9 10 a.m 69 about 73 degrees late
morning temps around 11 76 a light easterly breeze
plenty of sunshine no need for any umbrellas ponchos rain boots
and it looks like the kickoff
temps will be close to 80 around noon
if you're heading out there to reliant this sunday should
be another exciting game and we are looking
for what win number three i think we're gonna get it
so let's get out there and cheer our texans
on all right let's talk about late next week because
of course it's halloween
and you may already have plans kids may be going out trick-or-treating
we're looking like we're going
to have more clouds more showers there's actually a system a tropical
system in the eastern pacific its going
to roll into mexico next week but whatever is left
of it may actually enhance our rain chances for halloween next saturday
so just keep that in mind
we're not talking about canceling your plans
but it may not be the nice quiet weather that we're
enjoying now. But it will be that type
of weather through about monday highs
in the eighties lows in the fifties and sixties
And then there are those small
rain chances back from Tuesday through Thursday
and it looks like rain chances
get bumped up by next Friday and could linger for Halloween as well.
