Eagles fans turn mural into giant get-well card for Jalen Hurts

Prayers for QB1. We're thinking about you. As a breast cancer survivor myself, I'm with you. This whole city's with you. Go birds. Love, Hurts. Get well. Love you, Jalen. Prayers. They're all personal, but they're all kind of saying the same thing, so that's cool. Hi, my name's Bill Strobel. This is my Jalen Hurts mural. It's at Corinthian and Brown in Fairmount. I originally made the mural in 2023. The Band-Aids came out the day after I heard he had a blood clot. And now that he's injured, it's a big get well card. I left the chalk here. It kind of lives through people who want to add well wishes and wish Jalen good health. We love you, Jalen. Go Birds. We want to be behind him and we want everybody else to be behind him. And people are actually sending cards to Jalen for the well wishes and the get well soon. Jalen, I hope you feel better soon. My name's Charles, and this is my son, CJ, and we love the Eagles. We have followed him for a long time. We have his book here. We sent some prayers for him, and CJ decided he also wanted to write him a letter. You taught me to never give up, and I hope you never give up. They've created so many great memories for us, and even though we might be going through a lot of adversity, just like these guys put on display for my son, you don't give up when things get tough you keep going i decided to post a picture of the letter on the facebook group i've seen a ton of people saying that they want to send letters to the team and Jalen specifically i actually have my card right here that i bought at a dollar tree philly loves its champions and you've earned your place among them please know that we're rooting for your speedy recovery go birds michael feldman you know what happened is serious and And we just are rooting for him to get better. My adult son, Alex, was treated for a brain tumor when he was 12. And he's been an Eagles fan all his life. Now, I worked in health care. And obviously, because Alex is medically complex, there's a lot we understand. And then my husband and I wrote Jalen a note that his health is the most important thing. And that whether he can come back to football or not, we admire him. And we will always love the Eagles. I just wrote, get well, Jalen. We all love you, and we wish the best for you in the future. And that's fine, but at least the effort was there. And it's a lot of people with one voice, so I think that's pretty cool.
