-- I just got an axe mask, It was just shy of fitting, so I followed J's advice, and fixed it up proper...thanks J!!!
This is my 19 or 20 inch waterlings,
and I recently got a sheath, an axe mask made for
it from Jay at Jay Leather.
Now, Jay just modeled it after his 19 inch or 20 inch waterlings,
and his head must be
a little bit smaller than this one.
Nothing against Jay at all, he had no idea,
he was just making a sheath.
But mine, it fits on, if you can see,
it's kind of dark in here, but it won't snap.
So it's just like a couple millimeters away
from being able to snap it won't go on
It fits nice and everything, but it just won't snap
So I talked to him through a PM and he told me to soak it
Soak the whole thing in a bucket of water for a 10 count
and then try it again stretch it on
So we're gonna see we're gonna do that right now
I guess the
thinking behind
this is it's gonna
Loosen the leather up and I'll be able to stretch it
and once I stretch it and it's on there,
It'll set pretty good. So that's more than a 10 count
There you go. Looks right on. No problem.
On and off easy. Cool. Thanks a lot, Jay.
That's sweet, man. I wouldn't have thought of that.
That seems pretty easy now that you told me.
So I'm going to leave that on there and wait
to take it off. Very cool. Thanks for everything, Jay.
