Meteorologist Jared Piepenberg on this Wednesday afternoon.
What a nice day. We are climbing 15
to 20 degrees above average here before it closes out the day.
About the same for tomorrow.
And most of the lakes have looked like this.
This means there's barely any wind out there.
It's just been really, really nice. Almost showing that calm air.
Detroit Lakes winds are at 10 miles per hour.
Those are basically the strongest winds across the state right now.
So not much of a breeze to speak of.
And that'll be the case throughout the evening.
Just a really, really easy day. Tomorrow about the same. Maybe some
light breeze again toward the west i mean gusts
into the teens really isn't much wind for us
especially in comparison how we finish out the week
but so today tomorrow beautiful weather
with sunshine and light winds now friday
the breeze picks up out of the south southeast for us
gusting into the 20s for most for the western edge
of the state once you get kind of toward
that red river valley and toward
the dakotas i'd say maybe some gusts closing in on 30 not
out of the question so there will
be a breeze before we finish out the week but today just
gorgeous. Sunshine, little to no wind.
Lower 70s tonight. Kind of cool up in northern Minnesota
with some pockets of 30s. Wouldn't doubt
if there's some patchy fog in a couple areas that
I don't think that, I think it'll be kind of isolated,
but most won't have to deal with it.
And then tomorrow, tack on a couple degrees and light winds.
It's another gorgeous day.
About 20 degrees above average.
I wouldn't doubt if someone sneaks in an 80 degree mark down in
the southwest. We won't get there for the metro,
but it's still going to be a really, really nice
day. Maybe a fraction warmer heading into Friday,
Friday night with that breeze lasting out there.
There's been a hint of maybe a couple showers down
in southwestern Minnesota on Friday. I'd
say most of us look to stay dry.
Front will pass on through on Saturday. That looks to spark a
couple showers. We'll hold on to the warm temperatures.
The breeze lasts Friday, Friday
night into parts of Saturday.
Behind that front, temperatures back off closer to average, but
because it is so warm now through Saturday,
that is going to feel so much colder getting back
seasonal averages. We're talking our morning lows
are close to what our average highs are.
A couple chances of showers later on the forecast.
The next chance I'd say for the
metro will probably be on Saturday
and then maybe a few drips into your Monday as well,
but most of next week right now leaning
toward hanging out in the 50s. So
if you're liking the warmer temperatures, I'd say get out and enjoy.
