Thunder Shine as Spurs' Bench Issues Fuel Trade Talk

Your thoughts on this Thunder Spurs matchup opening night that the Thunder, I mean, listen, Jared McCain looked awesome. Shea, obviously awesome. Yeah. But the Spurs, I think there's more issues with them that may, I mean, again, it's the first game, but what did you think of this Thunder Spurs matchup initially? I see OKC as a team with a chip on his shoulder from last season, how they was exiting out of last season. But with the Spurs, I see a team that's not good at all. And what I mean by that is, yes, they're going to win games, but they're going to be a team that's going to take a hot ticket out of the playoffs really soon. And it's going to be due to their bench because the one person that was coming off the bench with firepower, you have them in the starting lineup now. So who's coming off the bench to be any type of force that you need unless you're going to start staggering players' minutes, which is redundant. It doesn't serve any purpose. So just like John was saying, you didn't go shopping on the offseason to pick up nobody. You still got Luke Cornette there, which every time he comes on, I go watch Snowfall to drop because I can't watch him play at all. And then I keep a picture in picture. So when he gets off the court, I'll focus back on the game. But I'll say that the Spurs have to go shopping real soon. They need to call. They need to call. They got plenty of picks. They're holding on to them for somebody. I would say right now, call the Clippers and come get Rui. Come get Rui. Come get somebody that's going to do something for you. No, what they need to do, go get Joel Embiid. No, I'm just kidding. Tobias Harris there, too, but what's Tobias doing? Well, he was injured, so he didn't even play. You know, I got the perfect trade for them. You know what they need? You know what they need? Now, you guys may disagree with this, and I think a lot of people will disagree with this, but I think this is the perfect person for this team. They need Draymond Green. Oh, wow, I didn't even realize that one. What this team needs is someone who everyone's afraid of. Because when I saw this skirmish with Wimby, I went, oh, who's going to get body slammed after this? Because you don't touch Wimby. No one. And we know Sacramento and Golden State had a rivalry. So I know the people in Golden State, they love the Aaron Fox. They love the Aaron Fox. At some point, you got to start looking past the career of Steph Curry, right? So here you get a nice guard to come in that can help with the transition. He can fit the cap that they are putting in the situation. And now you're going forward. And pause. but you got what do you think about that beef because i think that you've got to add somebody of that nature to that roster i'll take it a step further i actually one up you i'll take the younger version of draymond green and stewart go get stewart from Memphis oh that's that's that's another enforcer and which can't handle the ball he can't pass he's just an enforcer he's an enforcer but i'd rather see him than luke cornet i'd rather see him in the second unit being an enforcer all all together all together john brooke lopez or luke cornett brooke lopez buddy all the way all the way send it in send the trade all right but go ahead i was gonna say you're not wrong with draymond green the only the only caveat with that is um with him and steph i feel like they're going to retire as warriors they're not leaving no time soon so i can't i can't expect the team to call for Draymond Green and they're going to send it for him the only team that can actually pull that off night in and night out is going to be the clutch parade that's taking place in the Philadelphia 76ers arena as we speak that's the only team i can see Draymond going to i think if i think if you're the Spurs front office and you call the Warriors and say hey let me speak to Draymond Green like i used to call you you would you like the girl you call her out you call her house and their parents pick up the phone and you go can i speak to can i speak to Mary They just call this Warriors and go, can I speak to Draymond, please? And say, hey, man, we want to know what you think about this. And see what he says. Because believe it or not, he loves Steph Curry. But if they let Klay Thompson walk, I think Draymond wants to win. Because Draymond's career is doing what now? Just hanging around Steph Curry, stacking losses every time he turns an ankle? No. Draymond wants to win. Because at the end of the day, if you're Draymond Green, you ought to do what Scottie Pippen couldn't do. at the end of the day you want to look up and go i got one more than him and i got on another team i went to another team to another organization showed them my winning footprint put it on them and and we got another title because of what i brought to a team that fell short last year what they were missing was the Draymond Green ingredient so so wait how would you play it you wouldn't start would you start him absolutely you would start Draymond okay so how does that work like how because i don't think Wemby plays off the ball as well as like that that Warrior's motion offense you know like i'm i was thinking in my head like how is this going to work if Draymond is you know at the top of the the perimeter and he's got the ball they're doing dribble handoffs and he's directing traffic like it's Wemby just running like Steph Curry around the floor like i get your your theory i just i don't i don't know if it works on the Spurs Maybe.
