Scarborough Faire expanded into a Fall Fantasy Festival

Well, you're encouraged to embrace the spirit of the Hollow with the new expanded immersive experience at Scarborough Fair. They call it Scarborough's Hollow. Yep, and Fox 4's Shannon Murray is in Waxahachie. She's just walking around, checking it out. Hey, good morning. Hey, good morning, guys. Yeah, Scarborough's Hollow, much more of a spooky fall festival kind of vibe here at what you guys probably know typically as Scarborough Fair. And a big part of Scarborough's Hollow, some of the really cool performances and shows that you can see. we've got a preview for one of them right here behind us got Wendy Ray joining me here now too one of the performers co-creative director here with some of the shows that are here too I mean you come out here to Scarborough's Hollow this is a much different vibe than Scarborough Fair, how do the two compare to you? Definitely a little bit different, I would say Scarborough's Fair is very springtime, um, very Renaissance, more time period accurate, uh, what we do at Scarborough's Hollow is going to be more fantasy, more a little bit more spooky, a little bit more Halloween, uh fairy tale adventure, um, a pretty kid friendly still though, uh, I would say Scarborough's Hollow is catered towards families um, so the whole family can come out, there's stuff for kids teens, adults, fun for everyone, well and the grounds have kind of transformed as well, much more fall vibe a lot of pumpkins and and we actually came out here with my toddler and she had a great time just running around seeing seeing all of that everywhere so the show is really just one aspect and you guys still have all the good good food that people know from from Scarborough Fair as well yes we do we have really really good food very themed food which is cool we still have the petting zoo but it's a little bit more catered towards the fall um we still have all of our fun yummy drinks for kids and adults but a little bit more themed which is really really fun um yeah what do you love about this as a performer because this must be so different for you It's so fun. So I work Scarborough Fair during the spring and Scarborough's Hollow during the fall, but in the hollow, I get to perform, which is really, really something I love to do. I love this show. It's very circus forward. It's a little different than other Renaissance Fair shows sometimes, but this park has tons of comedy shows as well, tons of crowd interaction, and ours is very aerials, fire, high energy, and very punchy, and I love it so much. It makes me very happy. awesome well i'm very impressed with your uh your fire dancing skills wendy and wendy's gonna either there is so impressive thank you ladies so much um by the way you have a couple more weekends to enjoy Scarborough's Hollow here in Woxahatchee uh this saturday and the next saturday as well and then the final day also uh november 1st will be a dia de los muertos celebration here as well we'll have all the information on our website fox4news.com they also have a haunted house here and coming up in the next hour brandon and lauren And we're going to go check out the haunted house and get an inside look at what's in store there. Lauren's going to be covering her eyes on that one, yeah. Yeah, I don't need any nightmares tonight. Not a big haunted house fan, huh? No, no. In fact, I haven't really even ever been in a haunted house because I just know I will hit the floor and not move. No, I just, I have a hard time even with like just jump scare.
