Hello again everybody.
Okay, a lot of people are saying that Donabee2007's winning video entry
to Contest No. 9 is not an easy trick.
Maybe the tutorial in Japanese is hard to understand,
so I'm going to do another tutorial for the trick right now.
First, the setup is going to be we're going to have four jacks.
They're going to be alternating, red-black,
red-black, at the top of the deck.
We start the trick by saying we're going
to have a red and black jack help us.
we ask the spectator to tell us when to stop.
And we just ripple through the cards.
When they say stop, we pull out two cards and flip it over as one.
So there's an Ace of Diamonds and there's a card right behind it.
And we take the Ace of Diamonds and you pull it out as one card,
which is pretty easy, you just flip it over. And then you drop,
let the Ace of Diamonds drop,
and say we're going to bury the Ace of Diamonds
in the middle of the deck.
Now we're going to have the Red and Black Jack
help us find the Ace of Diamonds. Put them on the top of the deck,
and now you perform what's called a slip cut.
What that is, is you hold onto the top card
and you leave a group of cards on the bottom and you slide out
everything else and put it right on top. Now
at the top of the deck are the two
a Red and Black Jack and the Ace of Diamonds. Now what you do
you have the Blackjack right over here. So what you do is you make
a little bit of a break right here
and you put the cards back on top of the deck
With the blackjack first, then the ace, then the redjack,
and you lift all four cards, and you flip over the redjack,
flip it over, now the ace, flip it over, and you show the blackjack,
which has another blackjack right behind it, and put that right on top.
Then what you do is another slip cut. So you're going to,
again, pull a group of cards out, hold on to the top card.
So you want to maintain, hold on to the top card, just like that.
and now once again it appears that the Red and Black Jack
have found the Ace of Diamonds. Now
the slip force is when you go like this
and you're actually forcing the top card by holding onto the top card.
Say stop and there's the card, the top card, the Ace of Diamonds.
A slip cut is similar to that in that
you're pulling out everything leaving the top card
and making it look like you're actually cutting the cards.
But all you're doing is pulling out all
the cards underneath the top card
and putting it right on top. So hopefully that makes
the trick a little bit easier to understand. That's it.
That was a great trick. I really like it. Congratulations Donovy2007.
That's it. See you next time.
