Houthi rebels have severely disrupted Middle East energy exports by destroying a critical Saudi Arabian east-to-west pipeline and seizing key Yemeni coastline cities. This has blocked Red Sea traffic and forced massive shipping reroutes, causing oil prices to surge and threatening global economic stability through increased inflation and stagflation.
James Kaufman,
World News
Report today.
Ladies and gentlemen,
the Middle East is deteriorating, if that's possible.
The Houthi rebels take the east-to-west Saudi pipeline out
and then take over the Red Sea cities in Yemen.
The main Saudi Arabian pipeline that goes from the eastern part
of the country to the western part of the country,
i.e. the Red Sea, was taken out.
The pumping stations, etc. could see smoke for over 100 miles.
It was taken out with drones,
likely launched from Iraq, according to U.S. sources.
The Houthi rebels have taken credit for this strike.
Saudi Arabia was using this pipeline to move their oil from the Persian
Gulf, where the Straits of Hormuz are, over to the Red Sea.
Now, they couldn't escape to the south.
Instead, they were having to go north to the Suez Canal,
which took them another perhaps 45 to 50 days
to go around the southern tip of Africa.
if their destination was anywhere in Asia or Pakistan
or just anywhere east of the Persian Gulf.
So they were already rerouting to the Red Sea, then going north
because the Houthi rebels were taking out all the ships
to try to pass through the Bab al-Mandab Strait,
the entrance to the Red Sea to the south.
So, going north to Cairo and then into the Mediterranean
and around Africa added, well,
tons of travel time and a lot of costs per barrel of oil
or per million cubic feet of natural gas.
So, it's a total mess now that this pipeline's taken out.
It's going to take some time to repair it.
This was the main line that they were actually subverting the oil
and the use of the Persian Gulf.
We'll take a look at that.
This is going to drive oil prices through the roof.
I think they're up 22% this month or more.
I have no idea why we call it Yemen and deal with their government
when the Houthis are obviously in charge.
They've expanded Yemen.
everything in red is theirs and they've just taken over all
the entire coastline from Dubab
up here to May Young, May Young being right here
this basically closes traffic in the entire red
sea in both directions at the Bab al-Mandab Strait
which is right here of course oil and
Diesel prices are rising quickly, and I will show you a chart.
West Texas crude has broken 100, and Brent is even higher than that.
See if we can get a chart on Brent.
It's also just over 100 and headed up.
100 was the resistance point.
Looks like it's up, well, 18.44% for about $16
a barrel just in the last 30 days.
As we just discussed, oil and, of course,
gasoline and diesel prices, because of that, are rising quickly.
Russia has damaged refinery capacity based on all the Ukraine
strikes, which even throws, well, more chaos into the moment.
Shipping disruptions are tightened because of the fuel markets.
I'm going to show you what that means.
I would expect gasoline to shoot through the roof at home here
in the U.S. in the near term because of, of course,
higher energy and shipping costs that will push inflation.
That means food inflation as well. Higher and higher, weakening
the global economic growth or stopping it altogether, stagflation.
We also had thousands of Saudi Arabian troops surrender
to the Houthi rebels at the Saudi Arabian Yemen border yesterday.
A very embarrassing scene of cowardice.
No defense for their own country.
They just surrendered without fighting.
I'll show you some of the commercial shipping routes
that are having to be taken.
And right now, well, Saudi Arabia, the second biggest
oil producer in the world, is not exporting anything.
I'm going to show you exactly where we are.
This over here is the Persian Gulf.
These are the Straits of Hormuz.
This is, of course, Iran, right?
This is where we've been having the problem.
This is how Saudi Arabia used to get
their oil to all the Asian countries.
and, well, everyone in the east.
And what they were doing instead is moving it across Saudi Arabia,
which is here. Yemen is this country right here.
Via their pipeline that was just taken out,
and they couldn't go south because the Houthi rebels
were taking out all the tankers at the strait,
down where the Red Sea opens up.
So they were going north to the Suez Canal
You can see the extra days headed towards it,
and I'm not going to guesstimate how many days
or additional days it takes to get all the way back around to here,
which would have taken zero days if they had left the Persian Gulf.
Even if they could have left through the Red Sea and gone south,
it wouldn't have been too huge of a deal.
So, instead, many, many dollars are being added to each barrel of oil
and each million cubic feet of natural gas.
Anything going east is in big trouble.
The only way that anything is going
to the west is through the Suez Canal.
And that's generally the way that it went west in the first place.
Now, the U.S. is shipping.
uh it says here that we were going through
the Red Sea well now we're having to go around the
Cape of Good Hope along with Saudi Arabia
which of course it says 48 days now that's only uh
four days more uh than we used to uh spend getting over
to the east here we call the east Japan we
call it East Taiwan, we can call it East China,
we can call it East, well, anything over there,
including the Soviet Union and China,
which need oil and gas desperately. We saw the lines
in the Soviet Union, the lines in China, the lines for gas in Japan.
We did manage to get some
natural gas and oil to Japan just yesterday.
Remember, I did show you that shipping costs
went up from a hundred thousand dollars a day
to a million dollars a day and they're continuing to
rise that means shipping is up uh well
a thousand percent a thousand percent which of course is
going to add to the price of everything every single thing
so we're in a real mess here and
this was all caused by the drone I expect six dollar gas within
the week based on this pipeline
being bombed i did report this last night
my video last night was demonetized and then youtube came in
and added hundreds of their own commercials to it
which i don't get paid for y'all go check it out
because it's one of the very best lives that we've ever done.
And I guess there was just too much raw information.
The market is limited, which means zero cash for me.
And they're going to run the same exact commercials.
And they added like 200 of them.
I almost lost it this morning.
That said, guys, this is what we're dealing with.
Shipping up a thousand times.
Saudi Arabia is no longer shipping oil or gas out.
Iran used to be an oil producer.
It's no longer shipping any oil out.
The U.S. is the go-to right now,
and everyone is buying from the U.S., which is a good thing.
However, everything that's coming
in is going to be 10 times the cost.
That said, good luck, and God bless, folks.
It's getting to be a real B-I-T-C-H out there.
Please make sure to give us a thumbs up and share.
God bless you all.
