AI GeneratedMeteorologist Misha Shade reports pleasant, dry weather for the local area through the week, with a gradual warming trend. While local conditions remain stable, severe weather threats are highlighted for the U.S. Mid-Atlantic/Northeast coast and the Southwest. A potential cold front may bring showers and cooler temperatures around Halloween.
All right, let's get to Meteorologist
Misha Shade for a look at that forecast.
Well, we got more great weather headed our way.
Not much to worry about for the rest of this week.
It was absolutely gorgeous out there today.
Of course, we've been enjoying those cool, crisp mornings.
Yes, it's a little warmer in the afternoon, but it's manageable warmth.
It's not extreme heat with temps near 100 like we had about a week ago.
So we got more fantastic weather on the way.
Great for your runs, your walks outside,
any work you have to do around the house.
Not much rain around this week.
Maybe a brief shower near the coast, but that's about it.
We are looking for potentially another front next week that may mess
with some of your Halloween plans and other outdoor plans.
We'll talk about that a little bit later.
For tonight, though, it's mainly going to be dry.
You do see some showers just offshore.
That's associated with a little disturbance in the Gulf.
Not going to blow up and become anything concerning or tropical for us,
but there's a tiny chance that a brief shower may clip
a few of our coastal spots tomorrow, but that's about it.
bigger chance for maybe a tropical system off
of the east coast of the U.S. we've got Invest 93L
and although it's not going to slam
into the U.S. it's moving away it's already kicking up some big
waves across the Outer Banks of North Carolina there
are coastal flood advisories the threat
for some stronger wind
and a medium 40 chance that thing could potentially become a tropical
depression or tropical storm
or maybe a subtropical storm over the next day or two as it moves over
warmer waters likely not going to happen
but there's a chance either way if you're traveling
to the Mid-Atlantic Northeast
and you're going to be around the coastal spots there could be some
wind gusts over 40 miles per hour from the Outer Banks
of North Carolina all the way up to Boston
and places like Virginia Beach, Wilmington going
to have a threat for some coastal flooding as well
and pretty big waves around the Outer Banks as well
so that's one problem spot across the U.S.
of course it's quiet here so let's jump over
to the second problem spot if you're flying to places
like Phoenix, Tucson, Vegas for tomorrow.
It's a big storm system rolling in and there's going to
be a pretty high threat for heavy rain,
flooding and a rare very high threat for tornadoes and
severe storms there. So watch out in the Mid-Atlantic
and Northeast along the coast and
watch out across the southwestern U.S. But here we're pretty quiet.
Our Fox Weather model is
showing that yes there's going to be the potential for maybe one
or two showers clipping our coastal
spots as we go through Wednesday,
but it's not going to push towards Houston. So I think we're
dry in H-Town for the rest of the week.
We'll have to wait for that front next week and see
what happens with that. Overall,
conditions will continue to be very pleasant for the late night
and early morning hours,
50s to low 60s for the next three mornings or so, and then starting to
creep back to the middle 60s towards the weekend.
So you kind of notice there's a gradual warming
trend afternoon hours are going
to be even toastier we're not talking about jumping back
to record heat extreme heat
but tomorrow middle 80s if you're out on the golf course doing early
voting it's going to be a little warmer
and then closer to 90 upper 80s likely around 87 for
Thursday and Friday afternoon plenty
of sunshine looking great now let's jump ahead to where we
could have some problems with the weather
and of course we're trying to make our plans for
Halloween you may be doing trick-or-treating
with the kiddos you may be planning on going
to a Halloween party yourself
and we are likely going to have a cold front coming through by the
middle to end of next week showers are likely going
to be around doesn't appear that it's going
to be anything severe but for now of course things could change
but plan on maybe some thicker clouds
a few showers for Halloween which is still about a week
and a half away and slightly cooler temps
however we're looking great for Texans tailgating
for this Sunday of course we got the Giants in
kickoff at noon going to be another good one
and the Texans are on a win streak after a slow start
so we're going to be out there cheering them
on tailgate weather should be close to perfect high
of 85 with plenty of sunshine on Sunday
