Young baseball standout impresses Mike Trout with remarkable talent

Baseball and softball require you to break in and shape your glove. Gavin, who is creative, found a piece of rubber and came to me and asked, Dad, what if we wrap the entirety of the glove in this thing? Came up with the idea because why won't they just have one big rubber band? And that's when I said, Gavin, I think you have a great idea. And that's when glove wrap started. You take the glove wrap, put it on, that easy. We went to a baseball game, we gave it to John Gray, the video blew up. to break in your baseball gloves. That's literally his invention. You're convinced of this? Oh my gosh, man. You're the dude I've just seen all over the place. Hi, I'm Gavin, and I'm the president and CEO of Glove Wrap. My favorite sport is baseball because it's really fun. I play a lot with my dad and my teammates on Little League. My favorite position is first base because the ball always gets thrown to me. Every season, my kids would get a brand new glove, and I would wrap it up with rubber bands like I used to do even as a kid. Last January 2022, I bought Gavin a brand new glove and I didn't have enough rubber bands. I've known Gavin for a few years, I've been coaching him. He came up with this idea for the glove wrap and we've been using it for several years now. Just such a simple idea and it's been really super effective. Every day before school, I package and I ship because every day we get orders. My sister Morgan and my dad help me too. This one is from Hartford, Alabama. This one's from California. is ready to go we have done it all glove wrap launched in 2022 we tested it out with my team and the parents loved it then we decided to make more of them gavin and i went to a professional game together and he had the idea of pulling a glove wrap and walking up to a professional player on the field and handing it to him and that was john gray and that was really the start of just an incredible following that's grown online since then since giving it to john Gray we've given it to Brett Phillips. Hey it works. Chris Taylor has it, James Altman has it, Mike Trout uses it, Logan Hoppy uses it and he's really nice. I mean which player doesn't like free stuff? It's been so much fun to go to a whole bunch of games together from Little League to the pros and players are now recognizing Gavin even at the highest levels. One of the biggest memories is when we went to spring training we met some players when we came back we got We got like 67 orders in one day and the hard work paid off. Glove wrap is yellow because yellow stands out and players from across the field can see it and they're like, what's that? And they could come over. For them to see that color from across the field and know what that is, that's our goal. Initially, glove wrap was intended for baseball. Hockey goalie gloves require the same method to break in and shape them as effectively as possible, just like baseball and softball. Glove wrap is 100% reusable. You can use it as many times as you want. My five-year plan is to sell Love Wrap everywhere and for every player to use it. We have online sales, but we're also in stores. Advice for kids out there who wanna turn the ideas into a reality is for, first, to look online and see if there's anything else like it, because if there's something else like it, people could just ignore it and buy the other thing. The thing that makes me most proud about this whole venture together is to watch Morgan and Gavin really connect the dots with what it's been like to take an idea and put the work into it, and then to see the fruit of all their hard work. The smile on their faces when Gavin's able to hand a professional player his idea, his invention, and to watch that interaction as a father is just, there's nothing else like it.
