AI GeneratedThe discussion centers on the sustainability of the Buffalo Bills' success and their prospects in the playoffs. While recognized as one of the NFL's top teams, concerns persist regarding their defensive consistency and reliance on Josh Allen's running. The conversation also touches upon the overall mediocrity of the league and potential dark horse teams like the Bears and Panthers.
How sustainable is what the Buffalo Bills are doing here, Craig?
That's my question.
I'm once at the top of the AFC East, great,
but how sustainable is the way they're playing football right now?
Yeah, look, it feels a lot like last year.
The only thing that you could just hope for
is that different results come, Joe, in the playoffs.
You have to just hope that and hope that in three or four weeks
their defense starts to play better.
That wasn't the case last year.
It may not be the case this year,
but there's always hope there's always like hoping
that something that has not happened
is going to happen for you
but certainly Buffalo probably wins their 12 games 13 games whatever
it is division ends up getting a bye probably wins in the first round
and then you know plays
a team and then there's two minutes left in the game in the playoffs
and that other team has the
ball and and they probably score
and send Buffalo home like it's happened in the last five years so
is it Baltimore is it uh i don't know is it some other team
and i'm having a hard time or Kansas
City like is it one of those teams too
but let's not take anything away from the Bills there's still
one of the best three or four teams in the NFL
but playoff wise yeah you gotta eventually you
have to play defense in order to move on in the playoffs
and you really don't have to in the first
round but you do in the second you
do in the AFC Championship you do in the Super Bowl and and i
I haven't seen anything that makes them
look any different, Joe, than a year ago.
And by the way, Josh Allen, they said, oh, every year,
oh, we're not going to have him run as much or whatever.
Finally, we saw a little bit of that.
But generally speaking, he's still running all over the place,
still throwing to the same receivers.
Offensively, the only difference for them
is Keon Coleman looks like a real guy now.
That's a big change from a year ago because Moore has been hurt.
So Coleman has been playing well.
So, look, if we crap on Buffalo, Joe,
then it's basically like we've crapped on the whole league
because that's what we're down to here
at this point very few teams look great Kansas City San
Francisco if we were doing tiers I think I don't
know how you feel about it but I'd put them at the
top and then right after that is probably Buffalo
and I may do Buffalo Joe in its own tier and then
there's just everybody else that doesn't even
matter like Baltimore yeah sure with Lamar Jackson
right like you said earlier yes that's a different story
and that's there but the rest of the league
is very mediocre so you know the teams i have
the most interest in right now moving forward that i
think have a chance to rise significantly same
team i thought week one it's the bears definitely
curious to see how they play the rest
of the season i'm still gonna believe in them i'm not
giving up and loveland scored a touchdown
for me last week by the way which was great too
but i'm not giving up i'm not giving up
on the bears i think the bears have something special
i'm not sure yet but i'm gonna hang tight with the bears
and then last week and we talked about
during the week and then yesterday
a little bit too i wanted to see carolina beat somebody
decent on the road and they did against philadelphia
so i i i got a big dark horse in
carolina right now thinking that they
are gonna have there i think they're gonna win the division
fairly easily and i i think they got
a good shot to make some noise Joe this is
this is a pretty good team i'm actually surprised
this is a surprising team for me
