I got to go over to the breaking news this morning with Jalen Hurts
and with the Philadelphia Eagles.
Now he's going to be out for the remainder of the year.
Jacob, I'm not asking you to play doctor here,
but to me, when you read this letter here
from Nicole Lynn from Clutch Sports
and you read what and the procedure of how they flew him there,
he was in the hospital for four hours prior to the game.
Then they told him it wasn't cool to sleep.
so it wasn't cool to sleep for 36 hours
but it was okay to play in a ball game then they drop
you back on a plane fly you back practice him
for two more days until last wednesday when they shut
him down you know look i'm not a doctor i'm
not gonna pretend to be one here on tv but i will say
this man that's some sketchy sketchy ways
of how you've gone through this what do you think the
future is for jalen hurts there i know he's gonna
come up he's got money that's not guaranteed on
his deal you got Nick Sirianni
who the team looks like now it's wobbling there could be some serious
changes in Philadelphia at the end of this year yeah I think this move
or this you know situation
with Jalen Hurts and first of all let's wish
the best for him obviously I mean this is a
scary thing to deal with blood clots especially
when it comes to the NFL and you're right this
whole situation does play out sketchy again not a doctor here
so I don't know exactly what the
process for going through this whole thing
is but you know usually if there's a blood clot
teams take it very seriously
that's why they're shutting him down presumably for the rest of the
season and I think to your point
though the Eagles kind of feel like they might be dead in the water
this season they've just had
so many injuries even beyond Hurts I mean Tanner McKee I know they like
his upside long term but he's still
a young quarterback he's not very experienced it hasn't
looked great his limited action so far
so I don't really think this team is going anywhere so then
the question becomes what happens to Nick Sirianni uh
the Eagles have kind of not lived up to
expectations since that Super Bowl win
and you know that teams always love the Super Bowl win
and always buys coaches some extra time
but the Eagles moved on from Doug Pederson fairly quickly
after he won the Super Bowl you know
and that ended up being the right move because Sirianni
was the guy to get them to their other Super Bowl
but I think you're going to look at this
situation and say man is Nick Sirianni the right guy
for this job are they going to keep Jalen
Hurts around i would imagine they would just given
the blood plot situation you know i don't think
that they're going to look at that and say we're going
to get rid of him even despite his performance
so i think if there's going to be changes it's probably going
to come on the coaching side so i
think Sirianni's seat is going to heat up
as the season goes along he's gonna he's got a lot of
work to do to get this team on a track that will have
the eagles look at him and say yeah we're
going to keep this guy he's our guy to lead us in the future
