AI GeneratedThe Chicago Bears face the Atlanta Falcons in a high-scoring matchup featuring the return of quarterback Caleb Williams. With both teams struggling defensively, analysts expect a high-point game, focusing on whether Williams can stabilize the Bears' inconsistent offense and reignite the production of key players like Colson Loveland.
We'll start in Atlanta here on this Sunday
as the Chicago Bears will take on the Atlanta Falcons
and they'll have their starting quarterback, Caleb Williams, back.
Although he gave some mixed messages at a press conference this week,
sort of alluding to not being interested
in telling exactly what his injury is,
it does appear he will play.
This line has kind of moved around a little bit.
The Bears are still slight favorites,
but naturally this is the time, Joe.
If the Bears are going to get going,
they now have their quarterback to do it.
Tyson Badgett was flat-out awful.
I'm sure the Bears are now looking back on that deal and saying,
what in the world were we thinking there?
And meanwhile, you know, Michael Penix Jr. has done a really nice job
since he's come back in.
Although he couldn't finish the game the other day,
he will play this week as well.
Both defenses are certainly challenged.
But, I mean, look, this is one
of the highest totals on the board this week.
You would expect certainly a lot of points.
Over 50 is the total here.
I believe I'm seeing 51 or 52.5.
What do you make of this game today?
is it uh the jump off point for the Chicago Bears
as some expect well it better be i think now that
Caleb Williams is back you want to see this offense run
because i think not even from a
fantasy perspective but just
from a Bear's perspective right now the inconsistencies of
Luther Burden of Colston Loveland of everything
that you were banking on even Rome Odunze and to
a certain extent you know some of the injuries
they've had now in the running back situation
where you know man an guy has been out after
that massive game that he had and DeAndre Swift's been
dealing with injuries so Caleb Williams will he fix all
the ills for the Bears will he show some
rust in this game it's a lot of questions
but i'm going to come back to a point that you made which
is the defenses in this game
and the defense's inability to stop people and i think when you're
in this controlled environment in Atlanta this number was 50
and a half when it started earlier
this week well the early line i jumped on the over it's at 52
and a half now so people clearly
have been betting it up i still feel pretty comfortable
with that over i think Caleb Williams
will continue to find ways to make plays
with his legs that's what he does he extends plays
sometimes for good sometimes for worse
but the thing that i'm looking for here in this one too
is the is the reigniting of the spark of Colson Loveland
because last year down the stretch
Colson Loveland was a huge part of what the Bears did it
was a huge part going into the playoffs
and what they did and to write him off after week
one where week one again we always know means
nothing and then week two was an underwater game where it
was nine three okay so let's not pretend
like anybody was useful in that game i think
that Colson Loveland can't put a latter part of this
season we still got two-thirds of a season left
this is hopefully where Colson Loveland gets back
on track so you can make all the noises you want
at the end of the day i don't want to write off
everything that i saw for the last eight weeks
of the season last year into the playoffs where
Colson Loveland was a rock star for this Bears team
and look for this Bears team to get back
on track i think he has to be a big part of it
to be honest i played him every week in fantasy
and i said to myself after last week this is it
this is it i will not i i am i i i can be shame
on one shame on twice shame on five times
but this is it for me like this i i don't care i'll find
somebody else you know he's gonna
be great everybody i'm not gonna do it on the bench
i'm not gonna do it no i'm gonna play him this week this is it
though this is the end all right
I don't care what happens.
If three catches, 30 yards, fine.
I can at least build on that.
But this zero catch stuff is just insane.
