Cowboys vs. Packers Pick: Back Dallas as the Underdog

All right. So is it time now for the Cowboys to start fooling everybody again? This is usually like their good spot. As soon as they hit 15-point favorites, then they'll win. And then they play a game they're not supposed to win. And then maybe this is the game that they end up winning and then get everybody back on board. And then, of course, they'll play Washington at home. They'll be two touchdown favorites and lose outright. But that's usually what they do. this week they're at Green Bay, the Packers have started to turn their season around without a doubt they seem like they've got things going in the right direction the combination of those two wide receivers it's like finally back the Packers have not had wide receivers that have been formidable really since Davante Adams and it looks like Golden and Watson are both formidable there they really don't run the ball that well but they could throw it of course you would expect that in Green Bay tonight uh here we go Joe this is the time that everybody's off Dallas now and everybody's on Green Bay but but maybe it is maybe it is Dallas's time but uh i just can't trust Dallas at all but definitely feel better about them as a dog than a favorite i can't ever take them as a favorite this is called the close your eyes special Craig you're exactly right when Dallas should win games and situations at home on short weeks rookie quarterbacks yeah yeah Dallas should handle their business but they don't a game where you have to go on the road to Green Bay, a team that has played them tough, handed them a very embarrassing loss in the playoffs just a few years ago, too. Let's not forget that. Yeah, this is probably where you should be in on Dallas. There's no rhyme or reason to it. To try to put some sort of stability on this chaos that is the Dallas Cowboys is absurd. But yeah, plus one and a half on the Cowboys. Seems like the side you should be on in this game. I'm still not sold on the Packers defense. It was a weird game last week. Some amazing plays by Love and Christian Watson and Golden in that game where they just opened things up against that Bears secondary that just could not stop anybody. The Cowboys can't really stop anybody either. Does it matter? No. They'll probably find a way anyway because, of course, whenever you write off the Cowboys in games that they probably shouldn't win, that's when they find ways to win. So I'm just going to go with you, Craig, and I wish I had more data to support this, except that all the data that we watch every single year with the Cowboys not handling their business when they should and surprising us when they have no business winning football games. So there you have it, everybody. Those are my special Dallas Cowboys this week and season I mean I don't even love Dallas I just know that I'm more apt to take them as a dog than as a favorite as a favorite it's a zero it's a zero percent because because they're not it's not that Dallas won't cover as a favorite it's just they cover less than 50 percent of the time so that's just an immediate no as a dog yeah i mean there's there's a there's a little bit more of a chance at least that I could see that coming through and you know for Green Bay they're playing better but the odds makers are sort of telling us it's a little bit fraudulent or else Green Bay would be three or Green Bay would be four or Green Bay be two and a half but as you can see here the line uh certainly is close
