NFL Drops Another OUTRAGEOUS Hammer....| Detroit Lions News
Oct 18, 2026
Well, if it's Saturday,
that must mean the NFL Kangaroo Court is again in session.
And the Lions were once again told to approach the bench,
found guilty, and sentenced to another outrageous fine.
We're going to dive into the ridiculousness
of this and every fine since week number one
and more right here on this edition of Lions Digest.
Hey, everybody, yours truly, Captain Lou here.

Well, again, the NFL Kangaroo Court was again
in session as it is on every Saturday,
and the Lions were found guilty and given another outrageous fine.
This time, it was for defensive lineman D.J. Wona.
His fine for the game last Sunday against the Arizona Cardinals,
$12,600 for a supposed hip-drop tackle
in the second quarter of that game against Arizona.
Now, keep in mind, he didn't get penalized for it,
but the kangaroo court felt it was
egregious enough to drop this ridiculous fine.
Well, this isn't the only one that's hampered the Lions,
and I'm sure that it's gone on
throughout the NFL.
Let's talk about Jameer Gibbs.
He started the fine list in week one,
and his was just as ridiculous, if you ask me.
Let's take a look at this.
Remember back in week one with the Lions game against the Saints?
he got fined $14,269 or $926 whatever it was for
lowering his helmet for a one-yard touchdown run
now granted they don't find defensive players
for this but Jahmyr Gibbs gets a fine for lowering
his helmet running into the end zone they tell you run
with your head down motor forward that's
all he did. He didn't use it as a weapon, but he got it as a fine.
Just absolutely asinine with
what happened with that fine.
But if you think that's crazy, the Lions week two fines were over
$130,000. This was crazy. Take a look at this.
10 violations in week two. St. Brown, he got
fined for four things, including chugging a beer or pretending to.
Come on. This is absolutely
out of hand for the Lions.
And the crazy thing about all of that, too, is with Jamison Williams.
Now, I want to go back to some of these fines,
the early timeline on these fines. Let's take
a peek at it. Gibbs was fined, as I mentioned.
The fines total spiked at $130,000. Now, let's
take another look at the week two total, if you will.
10 fines, $130,960. Four fines right there
just for Amon-Ra St. Brown, $59,700.
And he wasn't flagged for any of them. That's what I
just don't get. It just really just bothers the heck out of me,
as you can tell. Now let's take
a look at Jamison Williams. He won two of his appeals.
And the crazy thing was he won appeals
for faking smoking a joint, I mean you don't get
your you don't get your fine appealed in one
for chugging a beer but it's okay, oh my god absolutely ludicrous
and again Jamison Williams
ended up getting fines later on for taunting doing
this in the end zone to the Jet defender
I mean are you kidding me here
and then he got another fine for unnecessary roughness
$23,417. And again, it just kept on going in week four.
What about this fine? Brock Wright
got a leg whip fine, $17,911.
He didn't get a penalty for that leg whip. It was nowhere to
be found. I didn't see any penalty flags.
Jack Campbell got a fine for $15,930 for a hip drop
tackle. Are you kidding me?
And then this penalty back for DJ Wunham in week five for a hip drop
tackle again, his was only $12,611.
Who determines how bad these fines are? Who determines how much
they get? And don't give me the crap about it all goes to charity
because that is absolute,
that doesn't matter. These fines are ridiculous.
They didn't get flagged for any of these and
they're getting over $130,000 in fines.
Absolutely unacceptable. Absolutely ridiculous. The NFL
at it again. I mean, they'll fine you
for not wearing your socks all the way up on your
uniform. It's that insane.
The NFL is employing people millions of dollars to give out these
fines. Ex-ball players, whatever.
It must be nice to have all that kind of money to
throw around. Well, this is probably what they use half
of those fines for, to pay the
people to give out the fines oh all right well let's calm down
a little bit speaking of Jameer
Gibbs right he's on a roll he wants that rushing touchdown record
and i think he's going to get it
that's why i'm going to roll with our brand new partner here
on Calshi when i say yes i'm going
to trade that Jameer trade yes that Jameer Gibbs will set
the rushing he'll get the touchdown lead
He'll be the leading rushing touchdown scorer in 2026.
Now, again, with Calshi, you're trading directly against other users,
not the traditional sports book.
You're buying yes or no contracts on the outcomes
of events across sports, politics, even the weather.
Now, let's go back to what I said.
I think he's going to be the touchdown leader,
rushing touchdowns this year in the National Football League.
He's trading at about 18%, which is a pretty good trade.
If you trade $25 on this one,
that means you're going to get about $53 back on your return.
Now, why do I say $25, do you ask?
It's simple.
If you're thinking about using Calshi,
make sure that you use the link below and use the
promo code DIGESTNFL, and when you trade your first $25,
you'll get $55 back into your account
instantly.
It's that simple.
all the games trade on Calshi all right
while we've got a few minutes let's take a look at some
of your content your comments from this year all right
this is about Kelvin Shepard he's not going
anywhere when we were talking earlier about
his seat potentially being hot we are four games in
and only three safeties hurt now this was before
the Arizona game if it stinks after the bye and
branches back things might be different
but at this point it really doesn't matter now here's
another one about our defense. Ranked 32nd.
Okay, Brad, I defended you as far as I could,
but after four games, we ranked 32nd. Everything stinks.
Changes got to be made. There's still
time. Yes, there is still time.
And again, this is in reference right before the Arizona game
when the trade rumors were flying
as the Lions definitely needing defensive help without a doubt.
all right so again the kangaroo court
was in session again today DJ Warner he got fined
twelve thousand six hundred dollars
for a hip tackle hip drop tackle whatever you want to call
it and so again that brings the total fines
for the lions over a hundred and thirty thousand
dollars absolutely ridiculous
who knows where it's going to end up with the lions they're on
pace to give out about five hundred thousand dollars all right
that's going to do it for this
