The new NFL season is nearly upon us, and it's time for fans of every team to start dreaming of
Super Bowl glory. Some teams have managed to not only go all the way, but have done so in style.
Here are the greatest NFL teams of all time. In 1984, quarterback Joe Montana and the San
Francisco 49ers finished 15-1 in the regular season and outscored their opponents by 248
points before winning the Super Bowl. The following season, the Chicago Bears finished
15-1 on the year before allowing just 10 points in the playoffs to win the Super Bowl.
The 1972 Miami Dolphins finished 14-0 during the regular season, with their defense allowing just
12 points a game in the playoffs as they won their first ever title. In 1978, the Pittsburgh
Steelers notched a 14-2 regular season record before their offense, led by quarterback Terry
Bradshaw, registered 102 points across three postseason games to win the Super Bowl. After
going 16-0 in the regular season and outscoring their opponents by 315 points, the 2007 New
England Patriots seemed destined to win another championship. However, they suffered a shock
defeat to the New York Giants in the Super Bowl.
