Thousands of cyclists hit the streets for the annual Philly Bike Ride

And speaking of hoodies, if you're outside today, maybe watching the Philly bike ride, well, it is taking over the city. And I hear the music out there, Ellen. What's it looking like? I know you've been hanging out at the finish line. Yeah, people are just starting to make their way here on the Parkway. But I'm telling you, it's gotten chillier and windier. So I forgot my gloves. I didn't think it would be this cold today, but it is chilly. But these guys are making the best of it. The bikers are making their way along the Parkway. It's the fifth annual Philly Bike Ride. 7,000 riders from around the country and the world have descended upon Philadelphia for this major fall event. It feels almost like winter today. It started at 7.30 and it ends here at the Art Museum. The organizers call it a cruise at your own pace event for people of all ages and abilities. 20 miles, hey guys, of streets with no cars winding through Chinatown, Independence Mall, Penn's Landing, and Boathouse Row. So cyclists can check out some really iconic Philly landmarks along the way. Now there's also a shorter option that's 7.6 miles for families so we should see some people crossing the finish line any minute and that's a great option for people with kids. Now once the race is over there's a big festival out here with food vendors and music and games so it's a party. Now proceeds from this race help different programs throughout the city including the Graduation on Wheels program that launched last year. It's a great program that helps promote cycling education in the Philly public schools so again this race started at 7:30, 20 miles most people are going and everyone's just having a great time giving us a wave and again we should see some people crossing the finish line but it's it's chilly i worked in Minneapolis i can't complain but this is chillier than i thought i know it is a little chilly out there but at least you have a nice jacket on Ellen i'm not gonna lie i was looking at it i was like it looks nice you can borrow it it's very it's very stylish but not warm all right thanks Ellen
