Texans fans in London ahead of Jaguars game

Good afternoon and welcome back to Houston live and local. We have some Texans fans that have made their way across the pond. That's what I'm talking about. A true supporter is there. Hundreds of fans have gathered in London. We've got David Everest and Rusty Beatty here officially kicking off all the fun, all of the action here for the Houston Texans. Welcome, guys. How you doing out there? Oh, it looks like David may have frozen on us. They've been in this pub kind of walking around Let's see if we can get him back here. David, can you hear me? Maybe move around a little bit. Oh, poor guys, they've been standing around. Well, I mean, enjoying life over there, at the pub and enjoying all the things that London has to offer. We're going to try and get them. Oh, there they go. Okay, Yes, we're back. How are you guys? Good. I'm so happy you're here. We're doing great. So how are you enjoying? How many of you are out there? Did you go with, like, the Texans squad, or who did you go with? Yeah, we went with the traveling Texans. Traveling Texans. There's hundreds of us here. There's so many over here. We're well-represented. Texans fans everywhere. I've only seen a couple Jaguars. It's awesome. What time is it there? It's, like, almost 8 o'clock. And so, yeah, the sun's down for the last hour. It's 37. Okay, so you're ahead of us. Yeah, that's correct. Everyone's having dinner right now. Fish and chips? We miss all you guys. Definitely had fish and chips last night, and they were awesome. All right, so do you guys do this on a regular basis? Do you follow them out? Because this is really cool. I'm sure the Texan players love to see that. They do. And as a matter of fact, last night we had dinner. We had, well, I just call it dinner. and we had drinks. The bar was wide open for all the Texas fans at one of the local pubs that they turned into a Texans tailgating area. I got to share a handshake and then some with Cal McNair, the owner, so that was amazing. And it was just full of stars and cheerleaders, and we got tons of people. Toro was there. Toro. Hannah was serving beers with Cal, and Andre Johnson. It was great. It was so fun. We're not going to miss another one of these, I promise, now that we've been to a couple now. That's so great that everybody was out there with you and you guys all gathered together, so they made sure that everyone came together who was from Houston, Texas. Absolutely. The whole bar was just 100% Texan fans. And the best thing was that they actually, the locals here that don't know how the NFL works, they saw the Texans in such big numbers. Now they're all Texas fans. They're all asking about Texas. about football, and it's been so amazing. They're welcoming us. You know what? And I would expect that they would, because after the World Cup summer that we all had, they love Houston. They love America. Yeah, they did, and they they're just welcoming us. They're returning the favor. They certainly are. They've been great hosts. Very good hosts. And what has been one of the favorite things that you guys are enjoying about London? I'd say the tube. I love the tube and getting around how easy the public transportation is we were so scared at first and realized how easy it is to get around and so uh you can hop a couple dollars you'd be anywhere in the city one of my favorite things is when they say lovely they say lovely so often oh that's lovely and it's just they're just such honorable people you guys are going to come back talking like that you're like we're back from holiday oh oh holiday that's another word they say lovely holiday and then we're staying in a flat instead you know they call it a flat which we call it what is that an apartment a hotel apartment yes okay and what do you guys think about the game we've got Marvin a brand new wide receiver we got our first win how are you feeling about the game on Sunday I love that we're coming back we do so well when we're behind and not expected to win and that's why I feel so confident that we we've we've seen nothing this this first win that we got in Tennessee is just the beginning we'll definitely make the playoffs we got a win tomorrow but the energy is all our way i predicted earlier 28 10 solid win everybody you know didn't think that when i said that but that's what i predict i think we're going to be solid tomorrow we have the talent and we just need to go out and do it all right well we're so thankful that you guys are out there representing for all of us who couldn't make it we're expecting we'll put it all on you Come back with a W.
