And now he's back with a new release called Zero Presents Forever King.
And joining us now here on The Factor Uncensored,
the man himself, the MoCity Don Zero.
Glad to have you back on The Factor Uncensored.
You got a new release coming out on the 16th tomorrow.
What can we expect from this new release from you?
Oh, man, the same thing I've been giving y'all from the jump.
A whole lot of, you know, non-kiss.
You know what I'm saying? A whole lot of no-nonsense.
Maybe a little bit more melodic this time.
Maybe a little bit more R&B-ish, Vandross-ish type of vibes.
But, you know, still the same message.
You know, I hate this, and I hate that,
and I don't love that, and it's good.
Uh-huh.
And is that something your fans want, that R&B, melodic vibe from Zero?
Well, I think, I mean, a lot of my hardcore fans,
you know, I got a lot of fans sometimes be like,
oh, man, get back to the rap.
And I'd be like, you know, they cheesed and slid out their omelette
because I started off doing all that because I ain't had the money to,
you know, like I said, I ain't had the money to pay a big mole or,
you know, to pay somebody else that was singing back then.
So I had to learn how to do it myself.
So now I'm just accustomed to that.
It saves me money and I make money doing that.
So I ain't mad at it.
There you go.
And do you see yourself as evolving
with time as you get older in this industry?
Yeah, I do.
I do, because my knees be hurting.
My knees be hurting.
You know, I'm not really responding to a whole lot
of stuff I would have responded to back in the gap.
Like, you probably would have been interviewing me from,
like, Harris County right now.
But now, you know, we here, you know,
with the, man, this man's collection is crazy.
I can't be around nothing like this if I'm, you know, emotional.
And, you know, so I've definitely, I've definitely grown.
I ain't going to say that time really made me kind of get it together.
I'm going to say the threat of losing what I got.
And one of the things you mentioned
was this latest release coming out will have an R&B vibe part of it.
How much of this new release will be reflective of you,
your life, your personality?
Oh, I love it.
I love it.
the new personality that I be lying and be trying to be,
the one that I really am up under here that everybody hates,
but they seem to love to purchase music from.
I mean, it's just, it's kind of like, it's definitely chronological.
It's definitely documenting a lot of times in my life,
but it's definitely documenting a lot of stuff
that's been going on in my life as of late.
And I think the listeners are going
to be able to hear that and be like,
now that's right now this ain't two three years ago this is now
and when you say the one that
they hate describe what that is how would you perceive them seeing
that what what is that okay
so if i say a particular thing on the song about
my relationship i'm cool you might say and you
have to sleep on the couch you know what i'm saying
or you're gonna have to get out or you
know your relationship might even be postponed over after
that uh you know i'm the dude that
you really hate doing something fraudulent in front of me
because you know i'm like you know
i'm not gonna let that go right because if i let it go
then i'm assisting your fraudulentness
and i don't want to you know i don't want
to be Scottie Pippen to that Jordan so they hate the
honesty it's not going to come out in front of nobody
but i mean like if you if you tripping
it's a must that i let you know
that that you tripping there you go all right zero we appreciate

and I ain't going to lie, I might be doing a little
leg in myself.
