Trump expected to land in Cobb County ahead of Dalton rally

7:13 now. President Trump heads to Georgia today looking to boost Republican support ahead of the midterm elections, and his visit comes as both parties bring in high-profile political figures to try to encourage voters to head to the polls. Good day, Kim Loeffler is live at Dobbins Air Reserve Base, where the president is expected to land later today. Kim? Well, good morning. After landing here, President Trump will head to Dalton to campaign with both the Senate and gubernatorial Republican candidates here in Georgia, but Democrats are also working to get their supporters out to the polls with former Vice President Kamala Harris expected to come here later on this month. President Donald Trump is returning to Georgia with the midterm elections just weeks away. He'll headline a rally in Dalton alongside Republican Senate candidate Mike Collins and Republican gubernatorial nominee Rick Jackson. The election is a clear choice. We're going to build on Brian Kemp's legacy and take Georgia to the next level. President Trump's visit follows Vice President J.D. Vance's stop in Atlanta earlier this week as Republicans focus on turnout. So the momentum's there, the push is there. All we've got to do is make sure that people understand that these are midterm elections. It's all about turnout. We need to make sure that you turn out, turn out, go vote. Democrats are also urging supporters to cast their ballots. I want to remind people that in 2018, 21 votes per precinct on average made the difference between the winner and loser in the governor's race. Just 21 votes per precinct. It's up to citizens to use our constitutional rights to vote in unprecedented numbers, to vote early in person, make a plan to vote right now, and ensure that we win decisively. Meanwhile, former Vice President Kamala Harris is reportedly planning a three-day campaign swing through Georgia beginning on October 28th, Friday's rally will also mark the first time this fall that Collins and Jackson have appeared together at a campaign event while all south and bottoms have been holding joint rallies across the state with the next one happening Saturday in Cobb County today's rally up at the Dalton Municipal Airport is expected to begin at 3 p.m. live this morning in Cobb County, Kim Loeffler for Good Day Atlanta Kim, thank you for the latest Thanks for watching.
