Wait, Brandon, you've got to show the folks.
Come on, come on.
It was good.
He wants to see me dancing.
Yeah, it was great.
Like, we were all getting pumped for it.
We were so excited.
It was good music.
It was good stuff.
Good stuff.
A little different than last year, too.
Did y'all see the, hear the siren?
Oh, no, I didn't.
Yeah, at all.
Horned off.
Excited.
Yeah.
You're probably also fighting with Colorado a lot.
Oh, I saw him yesterday with the...
Oh, man, he got some good licks in.
First fight in the NHL.
Not trying to say violence is good or anything, but he got them good.
He got them good.
Something about Allie.
I'm so pumped, dude, for this cold front.
I cannot believe it.
We are, too.
It's fantastic.
Now, there are some of us dealing with rain this morning,
but I think it'll take a while before we get any precipitation
into much of the metroplex.
And even then, not everyone getting rain with this front.
So here's how it plays out for the day today.
The more north and west you go, the better chance you'll have rain.
That's where we have it ongoing this morning.
This afternoon, highest coverage north and west of the Metroplex.
And then with this front moving in so quickly,
we're likely to see storms turn to just rain
and showers during the overnight behind the front.
And then we dry out very fast.
So starting tomorrow, we take rain out of the forecast.
Those north winds will be howling.
Gusts 40 to 45 is what will dry us out so quickly and cool us off.
Now, ahead of the front, there's a low chance,
we're talking low marginal risk, one out of five,
for a couple of these storms to produce gusty downburst winds.
That's really the only big severe issue.
I'm not expecting large hail.
I'm not expecting a tornado threat.
And, of course, because several areas will have more than one round
of rain, the localized flood concern will be out there,
too, especially in areas like Montague and Jack County.
I think that's where some of those higher rain totals will
be and then heading west as well into
Young County. So what we've got going on this morning,
one little bit of energy is what's
moving through now and this is actually weakening
in our northwestern counties. We get a break and
then here comes the next round
with that front following right behind it. So if you are around
Dallas and Fort Worth, even McKinney, Denton, it's quiet.
Currently most of us are quiet.
The exceptions are, as I mentioned, off to the north and west,
where we've seen dramatic weakening.
No longer dealing with lightning here.
Light to moderate rain along Highway 82,
traveling from Gainesville to Munster towards Montague,
and then points south from Bowie to Sunset towards Decatur.
Not significant, but the roads will be slick, so just be aware of that.
And we're even seeing less coverage back
to the west here around Jacksboro and Graham.
So after this moves off to the east northeast,
there's a little bit of a break and then there's
more back to the west of that for a few of our counties
and the coolest air where we've seen
some of the rain upper 60s in Graham and Bowie.
We've got mid to upper 70s around the Metroplex
and then where skies have broken up some
of those clouds upper 60s down near Athens and
Palestine this morning. So compared to yesterday,
yeah, technically we're a little bit cooler in
the morning hours, but I still think we're going
to have a pretty decent warm-up with most of this
precipitation off to the north
and west going through the morning and even early afternoon.
We're back with low 80s at lunchtime,
south winds gusting up to 20 miles an hour, and then here we
are now at four o'clock where I still think
this temperature forecast is too low. I think upper
80s to 90 likely for many of us,
except north and west where the rain will be ongoing by 3, 4 p.m.
we'll see more of these showers and storms.
At this point, some gusty downburst wind potential
is out there, and that'll continue to about 6, 7 o'clock.
And then here comes our front
moving very quickly with just rain back behind it,
scattered rain and showers for the late evening
and overnight hours. With those north winds howling,
we're already cooler tomorrow morning,
upper 50s and low 60s. And because of that wind,
we don't climb much, even with some afternoon sun.
I have most of us in the mid-60s,
maybe some lower 60s up along the Red River and off to the northwest.
So considerably cooler and below normal,
which is something we have not been able to say for quite some time.
The wind will let up Friday night,
and those temperatures drop even more.
Those mornings will be chilly. I'm going to use that word.
There's your forewarned seven-day forecast
with our best rain chances north and west through the day today.
And then we'll see some showers
and potential rumbles this evening with the front moving in.
Only mid-60s tomorrow at DFW, and then the mornings
this weekend down into the 40s with full sunshine.
Highs around 66 for your Saturday, 73 on Sunday,
and then slowly climbing, but still pretty seasonal early next week.
