The cake adored in Stardew Valley by farmers, villagers and corporate interlopers alike. Here's how you make it!
What You Need: 4 egg yolks 4 egg whites 1 egg 45 g butter (3 TBL butter) 75 g flour (loose 2/3 cup flour) 75 g whole milk (1/3 cup) 105 g sugar (1/2 cup sugar) Pinch of salt Red or pink gel colors
Strawberry Syrup: 1/4 cup sugar 2 TBL water 2 TBL strawberry puree
Pink Icing: 1 1/2 cups chilled heavy cream 2 TBL strawberry puree 1/2 tsp powdered gelatin 1/2 TBL sugar 1-2 red gel food coloring Heart candies 8 strawberries, sliced in half
1. For Cake: Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line an 8 inch cake pan with parchment. In a small saucepan, melt butter and whisk in flour and salt. Once a paste forms, add milk, whisk in and take off the heat. Allow to cool for about ten minutes. Whisk in your whole leg and all your egg yolks. Mix until lumps disappear.
2. Whisk egg yolks in an electric mixer until soft peaks form. Add in sugar and whisk until stiff, glossy peaks form. Whisk in one third of your egg whites into your flour mixture. Once it lightens, add one or two drops of gel food coloring. Fold in the remaining thirds of your egg white carefully so you don’t deflate the bubbles. Once incorporated, pour into your prepared cake pan. Lift a few inches off the ground and drop, allowing some of the air bubbles to escape. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.
3. Run a thin knife along the edge to loosen the cake from the pan. Allow to cool five minutes, then turn out onto cooling rack. Once completely cool, carefully slice cake in two.
4. For Strawberry Syrup: In a small sauce pan, bring sugar and water to a boil. Remove from heat and allow to cool for ten minutes, then add your strawberry puree. Set aside.
5. For Pink Icing: In a small bowl, combine your strawberry puree and gelatin. Allow it to set for five minutes. Melt it in the microwave, heating it five seconds at a time. Whip cream in a large bowl until streaks form. Add your melted gelatin mixture and whip to stiff peaks. Add sugar. Don’t overbeat! Fold in food coloring.
6.To assemble: Brush bottom half of cake with half of strawberry syrup. Spread a thin layer of icing on it and arrange cut strawberries as you like. Cover with more icing. Brush second layer of cake with strawberry syrup and place over strawberries and cream, brush side down. Ice a thin layer over cake, refrigerate for 2 hours. Then you can apply the top coat, sprinkle with heart candies.

So, I don't have any pink melons,
but that's not going to stop me from making pink cake.
First, puree some strawberries, fresh or frozen.
Ooh, pretty.
Strain out the seeds, and set it aside.
Alright, for your cake, melt butter in a small saucepan.
Add cake flour and salt.
Cook it for a few seconds, and then pour in your milk.
Turn off the heat, stir it, and allow it to cool for five minutes.
Then you can whisk in your egg and your egg yolks.
Set it aside.
Now, whip your egg whites and sugar until stiff.
I use my big mixer because I want really big stiff peaks, like that.
Okay, take one third of your egg whites
and fold them into your flour mixture to lighten
it.
Add one or two drops of red or pink food coloring while you're at it.
Fold in another third of your egg whites, and then the last.
Careful, don't want to deflate those bubbles.
Pour the whole thing into a parchment lined cake pan
and lift it and drop it to get some
of the bubbles to escape.
Then you want to bake it for 20 to 25 minutes.
Perfect!
Drag a knife around the edge to loosen it,
and allow it to cool 5 minutes.
Then you can de-pan it.
Once your cake is cool, slice your cake in two.
I use this handy cake slicer to make it nice and perfect.
Okay, for your syrup, boil water and sugar in a small saucepan.
Take it off the heat, and allow it to cool 10 minutes.
Then add some strawberry puree.
Okay, take a little bit more strawberry puree, and add some gelatin.
Allow it to set 5 minutes,
and then melt it in the microwave in 5 second intervals until
it's liquid.
great. Now start whipping some cream.
Once it looks like this, add your gelatin mixture,
make sure it's liquid, and whip it to stiff peaks.
Sprinkle on your sugar, and whisk a
tad more. Fold in a drop or two of food coloring
while you're at it to make it nice and pink.
Now slice some strawberries, 8 to 10 big ones in half.
Now we can assemble the cake! Okay,
put half your cake on a cake round.
Brush it with half of your syrup. Spread on a little
bit of icing, and then arrange your berries how you like.
You can use a lot more than
i did i think it'll actually be better cover with more icing
and spread it on nicely brush your
second half with more syrup and carefully place it
on top okay now spread a nice thin layer of icing
on your cake you don't have
to get it perfect we're just gonna apply a base coat once you do
that put it in the fridge for two hours all right now you can ice
the rest of your cake and make it
nice and perfect cool huh all right that's gonna
be pink cake without heart candies sprinkle them
on top and i like putting a nice big strawberry
in the middle now it's ready to slice brew some tea
pink if you have it, and serve to farmers,
sweethearts, and even evil corporate interlopers.
