AI GeneratedThis discussion analyzes the upcoming matchup between Denver and Seattle, focusing on Seattle's potential to bounce back after a narrow loss to the 49ers. The analysts express skepticism regarding Denver's offensive capabilities and home-field advantage, ultimately favoring Seattle, particularly in the first half of the game.
Thursday night should be an intriguing battle here,
Craig, I think, with Denver taking on Seattle.
Short week, Denver got the job done
on the road there against the Chargers,
although that was more about the Chargers ineptitude than
really anything, certainly offensively, that Denver did.
But Seattle has got to be kicking themselves because that game,
they did everything in their power to give
the 49ers that game, and they lost at home.
now they got to go on the road to altitude
to Denver the total has been crashing wouldn't
shock me if this closes below 40 uh it's at 40
and a half right now what are we thinking here
two and a half Seattle as a road favorite is it
a bounce back spot for them uh because i don't like
Denver's offense in any way here yeah we've reached
also the point in the season for the
Broncos where the home field advantage is not what it
was in September teams are now more conditioned
uh i i have not liked what i've seen from Denver
and i think Seattle is the better team
the other part of this also if you're gonna back Seattle
is this is where look i look look
obviously i like watching the games
and i think part of handicapping is watching the games but i
think way too much is put into watching it
and i think a lot more should be the line but in that
game in particular if you watch that game Seattle should have won
that game i mean there was a pass
from Sam Darnold to Jackson Smith
and jiggle at the end that that he usually catches and if he does
Seattle wins the football game
and then what is this line Seattle minus three Seattle minus four
Seattle minus five maybe something there
so i think you are getting a little bit of a extra
uh you know point or two here from Seattle just off that loss
and i and i do think that they're
better than Denver uh the question is if Denver
is going to turn it around Joe they haven't put
together two halves of football all season it
seems like they just sleepwalk in the first half and
then the second half they come back
so i i sort of look at this game and say give me Seattle first
half it's kind of like i honestly like like why go against something
that's been happening all
season long if the line is about even Seattle's probably
a one point favorite just to have a
halftime lead i may just take Seattle in the first half
that's it yeah it's gonna be i think a pretty
good test uh now here because we're getting
to that point uh in the season right where all right
Denver if if we're going to take you seriously
because we both think Kansas City right now is
the class of that division uh
in the AFC West well let's you got to prove it man you got to
here defending Super Bowl champions coming
to your building you've always had a pretty good
home field advantage here
so well we got to see it now right we can't just be like oh they'll
figure it out then we're getting to that point
in the middle of october there's no more figuring it
out right you are what your record says you
are so i'm gonna need to see i don't know what's going
on offensively with denver
but you brought in Davis Webb nobody thought it was a great hire
because he was inexperienced
then you pulled it from him uh the duties of calling the game from
them sean they looked worse
with sean payton calling plays uh in that game than they did
with webb so i i don't know i mean there's only
so many games you're going to win defensively in
the afc west right agreed agreed yeah look i i think
in the end denver's a team that gets better
in the second half of the season similar to last year uh
but their offense is shaky man and and
they don't really have a strong running game they don't have
a ton of great receivers uh waddle you
know maybe i was too tough on waddle i i just
didn't think waddle was going to be good at all
in denver he's been okay is that fair to say like he's been okay
but like what is he had one really
good game and then the rest like sort
of mediocre games uh i believe i i agree with these odds here
i i think the raiders will fall back a little bit
and the Chargers at this point even though i think
they're going to become a cover monster by the way
in the second half of the season yeah they're
going to start covering games and they may not win
but this is this is getting toward like history
levels of not covering every game i think they will uh
but i i think that the Chiefs yes you said
of the class of division why
because i think that this has a chance to be a historical
free agent add for Kansas City this is to me like Randy Moss going
to New England like like Kenneth
Walker may be the biggest impact signing of anybody in the offseason
and usually it's never
a running back in the NFL but i have personally been shocked
and so impressed with how he is
look he is look Bijan Robinson
and more dynamic running back yeah fair Gibbs yeah fair i got
Walker right there Joe with those guys right now like
this this guy is 75 yards running 50 yards
rush and 40 yards rush he looks better than he
was when he was with Seattle and it makes you
wonder what Seattle was thinking
and letting him go like what like whose decision was that
that was a poor one so i think Seattle's saying
that correct now like what the heck like what the
heck man well Wilson actually has done a nice job
for them truthfully uh you know Charbonnet will
come back and Wilson's done a nice job
but how did they not just want to pay him that money with
the way that the salary cap doesn't really work in the NFL
and every year it goes up by 50 million
that the Super Bowl MVP
is the guy you let go bizarre any team could have had him Kansas City's
the one that did i i think that those odds
that we just showed for the West are inarguable it's
very rare for me to say that can't argue anything i see there
