I still don’t think sway had the answers nonetheless I know for a fact it’s still possible to be able to community. YouTube is the perfect place to build community and we all know this if you’re willing to put in the work to have an actual community then make sure you subscribe to this channel. We are all about personal development self-improvement from a personal perspective, sharing our life journeys with each other and hoping that we all can grow from it.
I know I’m not the only one with my thoughts. I’m just brave enough to save them out loud. Don’t worry I’ll be the shield. You guys just be my army, but let’s go ahead and make sure that we love the community necessary to spread the word of God and how his children thrive through all of this madness and chaos in the world today.
The speaker reflects on the decline of genuine human connection on the internet, criticizing the distance creators put between themselves and their audiences. They advocate for building authentic communities based on open dialogue and shared experiences rather than metrics, emphasizing the need for safe spaces and \"real talk\" in an era of AI and rage-baiting.
You comment on the video, the creator doesn't respond.
You think to yourself, why did I even say anything in the first place?
You try to go back to the comment.
You try to delete it.
Just to either realize that, hey,
they actually did comment back, or F it.
I don't even want to see your page anymore.
Not interested.
Do not recommend channel.
All of the above.
But why is this?
Where is community?
How do we find it?
How do we build it ourselves?
And why is everybody acting like they're untouchable?
Why is everybody acting like they're
not a regular person when, in all actuality,
We all are just regular people.
A word that we choose to use often is parasocial.
I don't believe in a parasocial relationship.
I do believe that some people live vicariously
through people that they see online.
But parasocial, I'm just not the one that throws that out so kindly.
I understand and had built my audience off
of actually talking to the people that follow me.
As lame as that may sound, I actually built a community.
And the second that I told my community,
I'm not talking to you anymore.
That's when it all crumbled.
To say if I could go back would be an understatement.
I don't ever want to go back.
I want to move forward.
But with more clarity than I had before,
understanding that the internet may be fabricated,
may be full of bots, and may be a dead internet.
But at least I have control over
who I bring into my community and how I build it moving
forward.
I could give you a list of three things,
even five things, if that's what you really wanted.
But what would you really pay attention to?
That one thing, the one thing that really stands out
to you to help you build a community
on your own. The one thing that I would do, I would fake it.
And I don't mean fake it till I
make it. I'm not looking to go viral, been there,
done that, do not want it. I am looking to fake
my community until it comes to me.
I don't mind being the only one in the room. I don't mind
talking to myself. I literally put up a camera,
talk to myself, watch myself back, and then upload
it for other people to see. I have no problem being by myself.
I'm very comfortable and content
with my own being. If I build my own community online,
it's going to be on my terms. It's going
to be who I say is invited, who I say I want a part of it,
and who I know is serious about being
a part of my community. It's really just that simple.
When you come online, you're looking
for a safe space. I'm not looking to be entertained.
When I come online, I'm not looking
to be entertained. I'm looking to be educated or to find a safe space.
And if I can't find either
of those, I know that I have to create it for myself.
With rage baiting and AI creators on the
rise, I don't know what to believe. I don't know who's real.
All I know is that I am and I want to
attract people that are.
When I think of community, I think of an open dialogue. I think about
conversations, real things happening,
not even in real time, just past experiences, sharing and
reflecting on things and helping each other to move forward and grow.
I don't think of community
as a number. I don't think of it as a metric.
I don't think of it as anything other than real
people, real conversations, and just real talk.
I miss the days when the internet meant I'm coming
online to be with my people.
I miss when it was easy to find your tribe. I remember when it was
just, hey, how are you?
And that wasn't cringe or weird or anything like that.
One thing I know for
certain is that the internet is filled with people of all ages
and not that that's a bad thing but I
am noticing I'm seeing a lot a lot a lot of content
and commentary from people that are 10 years
younger than me I can't learn anything from you
and I know you probably don't want to learn anything
from me you got to figure it out trust me we've been there
so when I put in my bio that this is
the grown folks club 30 plus I truly mean it I want people
with some experience I want people
that understand that when I say something you know it might just
be a little jokey joke okay
you know I gotta see what it's hidden
for okay I got I got to do what I got to do okay and yes
Soulja Boy is a pioneer Bow Wow got them hits okay sorry
this is not that but this is the type
of community I'm trying to build real folks real people
that are just trying to find grown adults
online and not see adults that are out here doing
their thing it's just not like us that's completely
fine I'm not perfect and I don't strive to be I'm chaotic
my home is chaotic but I have a message
to spread I always have and I always will be sure
to join my community if you love a little bit of
chaos and you love a little bit always looking
for new people to join my community and I don't
mean my memberships I mean my actual community just leave
a comment saying hey that you made it
this far into the video. Anything. Doesn't matter.
Love to connect with you. May God continue to bless you all. Bye.
