Starship Flight 14 Just Became Biggest Leap ever for SpaceX
WOW! Starship Flight 14 has officially changed the game. SpaceX’s biggest Starship mission yet reached orbit, survived multiple Raptor engine failures, deployed all 26 Starlink V3 satellites, performed an orbital insertion burn, completed a deorbit burn, and survived a real orbital reentry.
But Starship Flight 14 was about much more than simply reaching orbit.
Despite losing multiple Raptor engines during ascent, Super Heavy B21 and Ship S41 continued their mission. B21 demonstrated significant engine-out redundancy before making a controlled splashdown, while S41 reached orbit and later returned through the atmosphere at extreme temperatures before splashing down in the Pacific.
In this video, we break down the biggest moments from Starship Flight 14, including the engine failures, orbital insertion, Starlink V3 deployment, deorbit maneuver, heat-shield performance, and both vehicles’ splashdowns.
Starship Flight 14 Just Became Biggest Leap ever for SpaceX
In this video, we will answer:
How did Starship Flight 14 reach orbit despite multiple Raptor failures?
What happened to Super Heavy B21 during its return?
How did S41 complete orbital insertion and reentry?
What did SpaceX achieve by deploying 26 Starlink V3 satellites?
How did Starship’s heat shield perform during orbital reentry?
What does Flight 14 mean for Starship Flight 15?
The mission also sets up SpaceX’s next major challenge. With B22 preparing for Flight 15 and S42 testing the Chopsticks recovery system, SpaceX is moving toward an even more ambitious goal: bringing Starship back to Starbase and attempting a Mechazilla catch.
If Starship Flight 14 proved that the vehicle can reach orbit and return from space, Flight 15 could test whether SpaceX can take the next step toward full rapid reusability.
