KNIPEX Viral Holster Challenge - Double Down!

KNIPEX sent me two different tool holsters, so instead of simply reviewing them, I decided to turn both of them into complete EDC tool kits.
The challenge was simple: build around the same basic mission while allowing the size of each holster to determine how much capability I could add.
The smaller KNIPEX holster becomes a genuinely subcompact EDC tool kit. Inside I’ve packed the KNIPEX Cobra XS, a compact KNIPEX Pliers Wrench, a small bit rack, Titan Mini Tighten V2 ratchet and a compact RovyVon flashlight.
It’s a very small package, but it still covers gripping, turning fasteners, basic bit-driven work and illumination.
Then we step up to the larger KNIPEX holster, and those extra dimensions give me room to expand the same concept.
This build gets larger KNIPEX Cobra pliers along with the KNIPEX TwinGrip, giving me two different gripping capabilities. Instead of adding another adjustable wrench, I used that additional space for Klein sockets so I can handle appropriately sized fasteners directly.
I also added a larger bit selection, a locking flex-head GearWrench ratchet, Milwaukee INKZALL marker and a larger Streamlight flashlight.
And there’s one piece you might not even notice at first.
I cut down a Rite in the Rain notebook and tucked it behind the belt attachment, creating a little “Sneaky Pete” notebook without consuming valuable space inside the main holster.
That’s really what this comparison is about.
More capacity doesn’t have to mean more clutter.
A larger vessel gives you an opportunity to add capability, but if every compartment becomes so packed that getting one tool requires removing five others, the kit becomes less useful. Both of these builds are designed so the tools remain accessible and the holster actually functions as something I’d want to use.
So today we’re testing two different KNIPEX holsters, two different size constraints, and the same basic EDC philosophy:
How much practical utility can we build into the available space?
KNIPEX provided the two holsters featured in this video. The additional equipment used to complete these EDC builds was selected by me.
